TCi Skrevet 25. august 2008 Del Skrevet 25. august 2008 (endret) Dato: 18. september Nettside: http://crysiswarhead.ea.com Systemkrav CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista), Intel Core 2.0 GHz (2.2 GHz for Vista), AMD Athlon 2800+ (3200+ for Vista) or better RAM: 1GB (1.5GB on Windows Vista) Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Radeon X800 Pro for Vista) or better VRAM: 256MB of Graphics Memory Storage: 15GB Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible ODD: DVD-ROM OS: Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Microsoft Vista DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10 Omtaler Eurogamer: 9/10 To end on a tenuous analogy, Crysis Warhead is probably the Back to the Future II of videogames: rather than totally transform the story and setting, it returns to the original narrative, exploring it from a different angle; once again, the results are sharper, meaner, and have a lot more for you to think about (although, thankfully, there are no dodgy CGI sharks or Elisabeth Shue performances) IGN: 94/100% Finally, we get to the part of the review everyone wants to know about: performance. Crytek claims that Warhead is better optimized than Crysis, and everything I experienced confirms this. In fact, what's amazing is that Warhead not only runs better than Crysis, it looks better than Crysis. Keep in mind, a year has passed since Crysis shipped and there still isn't a non-Crytek game that approaches it in terms of visuals. Warhead features more definition to the terrain, and the lighting and particle effects have gotten big boosts. I found myself walking through jungle with the morning light piercing the canopy and had to stop and just absorb the moment. It had a level of atmosphere that I can't recall from the first game. PC Zone: 92/100% Warhead honestly is the finest burst of action gaming released so far this year, and if you're canny then you'll be able to pick it up for a mere £15 from online retailers. It's a five hour tour-de-force that's plugged the holes in Crysis with diamonds 1UP: B+ The environment, with a few eye-candy exceptions, feels recycled at times. While the Korean soldier A.I. is tweaked (they're better at things like flanking and using their nanosuits), the aliens -- even the new type that project energy shields for their comrades -- still tend to behave simplistically, opting to either bull-rush or circle above you. Conversely, while the visual of seeing fellow nanosuited soldiers fighting alongside you against a huge alien exosuit is an awesome one, it belies the reality that your buddies don't use their suits as well as the Korean soldiers do -- opting instead to mostly shoot their guns over and over. Only twice in the entire campaign did I see a friendly Delta use a nanosuit ability (using speed and cloak in separate instances). Conceptually, the last encounter is pretty much the same as in Crysis -- the main difference being a smoother framerate, a better superweapon, and a more open area in which to dodge the big bad's attacks. GameSpy: 3,5/5 All the options from the original game are still on the table: Players can use their superhero-like nanosuit powers to dash past enemies, leap great distances, stealth past fortifications, or absorb tons of damage. But with more enemies on the screen at any given time, Warhead gently nudges players toward more action-oriented combat. Copious stockpiles of ammo, rockets, and grenades are available around every corner. Plenty of heavily-armed vehicles are ripe for the taking. And Psycho can dual-wield machine pistols or submachine guns. If you thought Crysis's stealth-based gameplay was too slow for your blood, Warhead addresses the problem by giving you every opportunity to unleash full-automatic havoc. Trailere Trailer 1 Trailer 2 Se filmen hos Youtube Historie Adapt. Engage. Dominate! Take on the fight as the volatile Sergeant “Psycho” Sykes in a new parallel story taking place during the events of Crysis. Psycho’s secret mission will take him to the other side of the island on a ruthless pursuit of a North Korean general hell-bent on obtaining powerful technology. With the versatile powers of his Nanosuit and an arsenal of fully customizable weapons & vehicles at his disposal, Sykes will do whatever it takes to carry out his top-secret objective. Action on the other side of the island is more intense, the battles are fierce, and the mission protocol is no longer “Adapt to Survive”. As Sergeant Sykes, now you must adapt to dominate the battle. Twin SMG’s blazing, seizing new vehicles, or going stealth, the action and the victory is on your terms. o Pulse-racing new installment from 2007’s PC Game of the Year*: Play as Sergeant Sykes and experience a whole new side of the battle. A standard combat mission behind enemy lines becomes critical when you discover your enemies have captured something of vital importance to the ensuing war. It’s down to you to retrieve the cargo, at any cost. o More explosive and dynamic minute to minute game play: new customizable weapons, new vehicles, new photorealistic locations to explore, and a fully interactive war zone to dominate. o Enhanced human and alien AI: Intelligent enemies, bigger challenges, and all-new ally squad support. o Includes Crysis Wars®, an expanded new multiplayer experience with new online modes and 21 maps including seven all-new maps to battle it out against other players. o Crysis Warhead is a standalone release and does not require ownership of Crysis to play.
TCi Skrevet 31. august 2008 Forfatter Del Skrevet 31. august 2008 Inntrykk i fra PAX Crysis Warhead Seems to run very well, plays great, fun boss battle. Game was running on a Core 2 Duo, 8800GT, 2GB of ram. Got around 25-30fps at Very High details, 40+FPS at High, at 1280x1024 resolution. In other words, much better than the original game, and this was on an ice-covered level too which killed performance in the first game Lenke til kommentar
MrL Skrevet 11. september 2008 Del Skrevet 11. september 2008 PCzone gir Warhead 92/100 % "The new installment to the Crysis universe fixes many of the major issues that were in the original", PCZone said in the review. "It's not the same disappointing game anymore. Crytek have taken their own level design to a whole new level, and ditched the cliche Far Cry look. The enemies, whether they be North Korean or alien in origin, are thrown at you in different unpredictable patterns, the aliens themselves are much improved, and the old bugs are simply not there anymore." "Warhead honestly is the finest burst of action gaming released so far this year, and if you're canny then you'll be able to pick it up for a mere £15 from online retailers. It's a five hour tour-de-force that's plugged the holes in Crysis with diamonds."

TCi Skrevet 12. september 2008 Forfatter Del Skrevet 12. september 2008 (endret) Hvor fikk Crysis 10/10?
