Some advice needed please

I am working in London right now as a .NET developer, but I am planing to move and live in Oslo with my norwegian girlfriend. But I have a question about what possibilities I have with finding a .NET programming job without any higher education? I have been working as a programmer for about three years now, and what kind of salary should I expect.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, there is a shortage of .Net programmers up here at the moment, so you could quite possibly land a job without too much trouble, espescially since you have three years of experience.

 

Salary, bonuses and benefits varies, but in your case I would probably guess around 350K NOK - 450K NOK.

 

What kind of projects have you worked on, and are the company/companies you worked for well known? If its a huge corporation, you should check out if the company have offices in Norway as well, that way you could possibly transfer to Norway quite easily.

 

You should be aware that some companies prefers that all their employees knows norwegian, both oral and written, but certainly not all of them. You might want to check out companies that has a international environment and/or companies that does much of their communications, both internal and external, in english.

 

You could also register your resume at headhunter agencies and recruiters, they just might have the perfect job for you. On that note, what kind of job are you looking for, and what type of projects do you like to work on?
