Virus i system32.exe (Windows XP).. trenger hjelp!

Når jeg akkurat nå koblet opp mot internett med mitt supre modem, fikk jeg beskjed av Norton Antivirus om at det er virus i system32.exe, og det hevder at viruset heter "W32.Kwbot.C.Worm"! Er det noen muligheter for å fjerne dette viruset uten å måtte formatere? Kjører Windows XP!

 

Trenger hjelp til dette snarest mulig!

These instructions pertain to all current and recent Symantec antivirus products, including the Symantec AntiVirus and Norton AntiVirus product lines.

 

 

1. Update the virus definitions.

2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode.

3. Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as W32.Kwbot.C.Worm.

4. Delete the values that the worm added to the registry.

 

 

For specific details on each of these procedures, read the following instructions.

 

1. Updating the virus definitions

Symantec Security Response fully tests all the virus definitions for quality assurance before they are posted to our servers. There are two ways to obtain the most recent virus definitions:

Running LiveUpdate, which is the easiest way to obtain the virus definitions. These virus definitions are posted to the LiveUpdate servers once each week (usually on Wednesdays), unless there is a major virus outbreak. To determine whether definitions for this threat are available by LiveUpdate, refer to the Virus Definitions (LiveUpdate), in the "Protection" section, at the top of this writeup.  

Downloading the definitions using the Intelligent Updater. The Intelligent Updater virus definitions are posted on U.S. business days (Monday through Friday). You should download the definitions from the Symantec Security Response Web site and manually install them. To determine whether definitions for this threat are available by the Intelligent Updater, refer to the Virus Definitions (Intelligent Updater), in the "Protection" section, at the top of this writeup.

2. Restarting the computer in Safe mode

All the Windows 32-bit operating systems, except Windows NT, can be restarted in Safe mode. For instructions on how to do this, read the document, "How to start the computer in Safe Mode."

 

3. Scanning for and deleting the infected files

a. Start your Symantec antivirus program and make sure that it is configured to scan all the files.  

For Norton AntiVirus consumer products: Read the document, "How to configure Norton AntiVirus to scan all files."

For Symantec AntiVirus Enterprise products: Read the document, "How to verify that a Symantec Corporate antivirus product is set to scan All Files."

b. Run a full system scan.

c. If any files are detected as infected with W32.Kwbot.C.Worm, click Delete.

 

4. Deleting the values from the registry

 

CAUTION: Symantec strongly recommends that you back up the registry before you make any changes to it. Incorrect changes to the registry can result in permanent data loss or corrupted files. Modify the specified keys only. Read the document, "How to make a backup of the Windows registry," for instructions.  

 

a. Click Start, and then click Run. (The Run dialog box appears.)

b. Type regedit  

 

Then click OK. (The Registry Editor opens.)

 

c. Navigate to each of the keys:

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows

CurrentVersionRunServices

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunOnce

 

NOTE: All of these keys may not be found on all the systems.

 

d. From each key, in the right pane, delete the values if you find them:

 

SystemSAS system32.exe

CMD cmd32.exe

 

e. Navigate to and delete the key:

 

HKEY_Local_MachineSoftwareKrypton,

 

f. Navigate to the key:

 

HKEY_Local_MachineSoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogon

 

NOTE: This key does not exist on all the systems. If you do not find it, proceed to step i.

 

g. In the right pane, double-click: Shell

 

h. Change the text in the Value data box so that it reads only:

 

Explorer.exe

 

i. Navigate to each of the keys:

 

HKEY_Current_UserSoftwareKazaaLocalContent

HKEY_Current_UserSoftwareiMeshClientLocalContent

 

j. In the right pane, delete any values that refer to the C:%Windir%UserTemp or C:%Windir%User32 folders. For example:

 

Dir? 012345:C:%Windir%UserTemp

 

NOTE: "?" in this value represents a number that the worm has chosen.

 

k. Exit the Registry Editor.

system32.exe er såvidt eg veit ikkje noko systemfil, som ein kanskje skulle tru ut ifrå namnet, i alle fall har ikkje eg noko fil som heiter det på min harddisk, med Windows XP Professional. Difor trur eg du kan trygt sletta fila, utan at det gjer nokon skade. Dessutan er det faktisk ein kjent sak at fleire virus lager filer som har namn som liknar på kjente systemfiler, noko som skal lura brukaren som blir ramma til å ikkje sletta viruset.
