Ser ut som om det endelig kommer konkurransedyktige IGP løsninger til 775. Fint for HTPC-verden. Kjipt for AMD - som nærmest mister sitt monopol.

Hmm, tenkte også HTPC... Men blir ikke Nvidia chipsett normalt veldig varme? og det hjelper vel ikke at man integrerer et skjermkort...

Brikkesettet geforce 8200 til AMD-prosessorer er faktisk ganske effektgjerrig. (Det samme er AMD 780G) Det er bare LGA775-plattformen som sliter med varme brikkesett for tida. FSB-systemet og ekstern minnekontroller er nok årsaken til det. Jeg er spent på hvordan geforce 9400 og 9500 blir. Mine gjetninger hittil går i retning av litt lavere enn P35/P45.

 

Forhåpentligvis betyr det at brikkesett til Nehalem også kan bli effektgjerrige. Tidlige sniktitter har derimot beskrevet Intel X58 som et svært varmt brikkesett. Dette kan naturligvis snu seg innen lansering eller med andre brikkesett. Tiden vil vise.

Den gang ett IGP fra Intel er konkuransedyktig med det som kommer fra ATi og nVidia blir jeg meget overrasket.

Oi oi oi, ingen tvil om at Intel IGP er veien å gå!

AMD x1250, konkurransen, er i hvert fall noe dritt. Fglrx driver meg gal .

IGP har jo tross ytelsesframskritt LANGT igjen for å bli noe annet enn grafikk for budsjett og/eller formfaktorbegrensede pcer. Jobb laptopen min har x3100 og det har tross delvis dx10 støtte mye dårligere ytelse i alle benchmarks og spill jeg har testa enn min 4 år gamle laptop med Ati 9700 skjermkort. Og da har den nye laptopen core2dou cpu og den gamle bare en sliten pentium-m.

 

Eneste plusset med nye IGP løsninger er jo støtten for hdmi/flere skjermer og uvd(på Amd).
