"certified drivers" til SB live!

jeg prøver desperat å få kjørt Comanche4 fra novalogic, ettersom det krasjer på alle mulige steder før jeg kommer inn til selve helikopteret og får flydd litt sendte jeg inn mail til novalogic support, uten å få annet svar om at driverne må være "certified". Hvor finner jeg dette? og hva har det egentlig å si( når hardware kommer fra "industristandarden" creative)?

Dear NovaLogic Customer,

Make sure you have certified drivers from the manufacturer of your hardware

or computer for both your Sound and Video Cards. To check your drivers,

click on Start, Find, Files or Folders, type in dxdiag.exe, click on Find

Now, double-click on dxdiag. You should now see your DirectX Diagnostic Tool

window. Select the tabs for DirectX Drivers, Display & Sound. Make sure

that all components have drivers that are certified. If not, you need to

contact the manufacturer of the device(s) and obtain drivers that are

certified with DirectX 7.0 or later. These should be available for download

on the internet.

Issue = The game freezez at several different stages. After the first

splash-screen when playing the intro, it definately crashes when trying to

skip the intro by pressing ESC, but if I let the intro play finished I get

to the main menu, but the main menu freezez, the sound chugs and goes into

loop about 1-2 seconds after I start moving my mouse. This is the most

common crash. Keyboard freezez aswell, and there is only a reboot left for

me to do.. As far as I remember it crashes even without me moving the mouse,

and a few times I've even been able to fiddle around the menus a while

before it crashed. What is the most interesting, to me at least, is that

I've actually played 2 missions before it crashed whilst loading the third..

a few times I get past the main menu, and get to 20%(variable, but this is

the most common) of loading the mission. To say the least, this is

frustrating. I've updated to the latest supported driver for my gfx-card,

reset the bios, adjusted to get more virtual memory, but I'm unsure of what

is actually the problem, seeing as the game actually started once and let me

play a few missions. Updating the game didn't see to fix my problems. Hope

you can give me a few hints :smile:

Dette svaret tok en uke å få som svar. Hadde jeg forventet noe annet? vel egentlig ikke. Jeg tenkte dog å være vrang, og skaffe certified drivers til mitt soundblanster live! 1024. jeg har søkt rundt på google f.eks og finner sider hvor det står hvor jeg finner disse driverne, men alle linkene til creative derfra er døde. Finnes noe sted jeg kan få tak i gamle drivere?

 

tror jeg er litt for dum til å skjønne noe av driverguide.com, men jeg fant bare døde linker til creative der hehe

hehe , har CREATIVE noen gang laget WHQL `certifiserte drivere ? :smile:

 

prøv å fjerne crap' driver fra Creative ,for mye tull i deres software...

 

sats på å bruke M$ drivere for det kortet , det går ihvertfall hvis du har w2k eller xp
