What happens to Curleys wife? 7. Why does George have only one choice when dealing with Lennie at the end of the novel? 8. Discuss the relationship between George and Lennie. 9. Compare the killings of Candy`s dog and Lennie. 10. Understanding the character and their motivations is the most important part of this novel. hmm... trur eg mangle resten av oppgaven, men det ser ikke ut som eg har fått det. morgan_kane Skrevet 28. april 2008 Forfatter Del Skrevet 28. april 2008 (endret) etter en jogge tur fikk jeg frisket opp hukommelsen min. eg hadde faktisk sett filmen:) treng fortsatt hjelp på de resterende oppgavan svar på oppgave 1. kopiert rett fra wiki • George Milton – protagonist; a quick-witted man who is friends with Lennie. He looks after Lennie and dreams of a better life. • Lennie Small – protagonist; An intellectually disabled man who travels with George. He dreams of "living off the fatta' the lan'" and being able to tend to rabbits. He possesses a child's mental ability, but the strength of a "bull", resulting in inability to control or judge his own strength. This results in accidental killings when the objects of his affection try to escape him (such as mice and his puppy). • Slim – A "jerk line skinner"(the main driver of a mule team). Slim is greatly respected by many characters in the story. He is the only character that Curley treats with respect. He is described as "The Prince of the Ranch". • Candy – A ranch worker who lost a hand in an accident and is near the end of his useful life on the ranch. • • Crooks – The only African American ranch-hand, referred to as a "nigger" by almost all. Like Candy, he is crippled: his nickname refers to a crooked back resulting from being kicked by a horse. He sleeps segregated from the other workers, but is fiercely protective of his "rights. • Curley – antagonist; The boss's son – a young, pugnacious character, once a semi-professional boxer. He is very jealous and protective of his wife and immediately dislikes Lennie. • Curley's wife – A young, pretty woman, sometimes called a "tart" by the men and mistrusted by her husband. The other characters refer to her only as "Curley's wife," and she is the only significant character in the novella without a name. She had dreams of becoming an actress, and is often mean-spirited and bullying towards the ranch-hands. svar på oppgave 2 Lennie was accused for raping a girl when he touched her dress. Then they flee from Wedd. oppgave 3 e ikke sikker på om det her e rett. he told Lennie to go to their special place in the woods to hide, because the George knew he woul be the first one to find him if anything went wrong. oppgave 4 Curley is looking for trouble. If he se someone who might be stronger than him, he teas him so he might start a fight so Curley could beat his ass oppgave 5 because he thinks he is no use for the boss, and the boss will fire him soon. He thinks his only way to be in use is to help Lennie and George with cooking for example. oppgave 6. . Lennie was petting his dog, and Curleys wife came in. she started talking about herself, and Lennie was listening. She talked about her hair and said Lennie could touch it. Lennie was skeptic in the start, but he talked him into it. Lennie yanked her hair and she started screaming. He grabbed her and tried to shut her up. Suddenly he broke her neck without realizing it. oppgave 7 George didn`t want Lennie to fall in the wrong hand. If Curley and his men captured Lennie he probably would have been putted in an insane hospital. George didn`t want him to have a miserable life so he shoot him when he realized he couldn’t “behave” in public. oppgave 9 usiker på den. They were both killed because they were “handicapped” Lennie wasn’t the smartest one and the dog were very old. kan noen rette feil også? Endret 28. april 2008 av morgan_kane Lenke til kommentar
