Good news, fellow Killzoners!

 

The wait until Killzone 2’s rumored September release might not feel as long with a new Killzone game coming to PSN this May.

 

That’s right, Guerrilla is making its first PSN game.

 

This installment of the series will revolve around Hakha, and how he came to change sides in the war.

 

Due to the immensely positive reaction from fans and more casual gamers alike, this new downloadable game will use a modified version of Killzone: Liberation’s gameplay, and thanks to the power of the PS3, up to twenty Helghast baddies can be feature on-screen at one time.

 

Word is that as of this point in time, the team is busy polishing up some of the online co-op elements, which can be used in any of the game’s five chapters (yes, it is just as long as Liberation) and that development should be done within the next two weeks, with a mid-May release planned.

 

The game will also be supported with downloadable content, in the form of three additional chapters which will lead up to the events of Killzone 2.

 

As an added bonus, for those of you who complete the game before Killzone 2’s release, you’ll be able to gain access to Hakha and Templar skins for Killzone 2’s extensive online modes.

 

Not much else is kown about the game as of this time, and the first screens will be made available on PSN after the network update, but for those of you, who, like me loved Killzone: Liberation, be prepared for some fun times ahead.
