Are you saying that if I were to write the name "Christian" in Greek, I had to go with the name "Christiana" or what? Or would it be best to just simply drop the Greek spelling? There's no similar names or anything equivalent?

Yes, the name Christiana is the same with Christian but it is only female. So, if you want to write Christian (male) I do not see any other way of writing except writing Χριστιάν or Χρίστιαν, that is, use greek letters. As for equivalents, I don't know if we can speak of such a thing. There are the names (male) Christos (Χρίστος), Christodoulos (Χριστόδουλος) (=a servant of Christ), but of course they are not exactly equals or equivalents.
