Oppdateringshastighet går tilbake til 50Hz etter reboot, bruk av Plug 'n' Play-skjerm i Ubuntu 7.10

Jeg har problemer med å få riktig oppdateringshastighet til skjermen i Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon.

Nå har jeg et oppsett på 1280x1024 @ 50Hz. Normalt ville jeg fått opp 60Hz som et alternativ, men nå er 50Hz den eneste oppdateringshastigheten ved den oppløsningen.

 

Det går fint ann å velge andre oppløsninger, og jeg får opp 1280x960 @ 68Hz som alternativ, men ikke 1280x1024 @ ~60hz. Man får høyere oppdateringshastighet (Hz) ved lavere skjermoppløsninger, men her er begge oppdateringshastighetene lavere enn det jeg vet skjermen min kan yte. Ser ut til at Ubuntu tror jeg har en annen skjerm. Ved skjermvalg i "screens and graphics" finner jeg ikke min skjerm. Når jeg velger "detect" får jeg opp en plug 'n' play-skjerm, og det er den jeg bruker nå (som du kan se i xorg.conf under.)

 

Jeg reinstallerte de ufrie driverne, restarta Ubuntu, og fikk opp 60 Hz som et alternativ. Det funka fett, helt til jeg skrudde på maskina i dag igjen, og fant ut at den har gått tilbake til 50Hz. Innstillingene blir ikke låst ved restart. En fil jeg må endre, som kjøres ved oppstart?

 

 

Åpne en terminal eller en konsole og skriv glxinfo | grep direct . Dersom du får beskjed "direct rendering on" så har du aktivert DRI. Da skal heller ikke glxgears hakke.

Sjekket dette, og jeg har Direct rendering aktivert.

Jeg kan se at properitære/ufrie drivere er installert og aktivert i System -> Administrasjon -> Håndtering av ufrie drivere.

Jeg vil anta problemene dine er knyttet til skjermkort driver. Du har enkelt tilgang til tre utgaver av nvidias driver. Standard med restricted drivers manager, deretter en nyere utgave oppgraderbar med apt:

sudo aptitude install nvidia-glx-new
