Tilbake til world wide warranty hos Canon; alt eller bare L-serien?

Det skal ikke være på alle objektiver, så vidt jeg har forstått, men det er flere enn bare L-serien. Mener at 17-55IS og 70-300 DO IS bl.a. har verdensgaranti, men akkurat hvilket system de har i det (om de har system) vet jeg ikke.

Jeg googlet litt, og fant følgende i et annet forum:

 

 

"The warranty is global - this means that if you live permanently in the US and travel with your lens to Autria and you need repair, then it will cost you nothing to have this done in Autria.

 

If on the other hand you buy the lens in the US, but live permanently in Austria, then it is a gray import and will NOT be covered by the warranty at all! You would have to prove to Canon that this was not the case - otherwise you'll have to pay for the repair."

 

Kan dette stemme? Da mister jo ww-garantien mye av sin virkning etter mitt syn..

Har nå fått bekreftet at alle Canon objektiv har 12mnd WW warranty.
