Anbefalte innlegg

Hey folkens : )

Hei

I bought a Gigabyte GA-X38-DS5 about a week ago.

My problem is that I haven't got any sound.

I have installed all the drivers on the cd, tried to update them but it dosen't work.

When i was going to try again, i uninstalled them and tryed to install it again.

When i uninstall one of the drivers i get this error message: Realtek HD Audio driver Remove Failure! (see image 2) I went into the

driver cd (that followed with the Motherboard) but it said that the drivers were installed even though i uninstalled

them. (see image 1)

I tryed to download new drivers and install them over the old ones (on the cd). but it still didn't work.

I have installed:

High Definition Audio driver

WDM_A400 (newer and old versions)

motherboard_driver_audio_realtek_azalia

kb888111

I tried tried my brothers Sound card and it worked (with the driver cd for that card).

This Forum Thread looks a lot like my problem:

Fikk svar på mail, her er mailen:

Hi,

Sometimes the Microsoft HD Audio update seems to fail, which results in the Realtek drivers not being properly installed.

To correct this please open the driver disc and install the Microsoft hotfix available in this folder:

audio/MSHDQFE/Win2K_XP/us/kb888111xpsp2.exe

Hopefully these steps help update the Microsoft UAA driver: (and after that you can install the sound driver from the CD or website)

1. Open device manager (right-click on My Computer, select Manage, selected Device Manager)

2. Look for an entry named PCI Device under “System Devices” with a warning icon (little yellow circle with a black exclamation mark)

3. Right-click on PCI Device, select Update Driver…

4. When asked Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software?, select Yes, this time only or Yes, now and every time I connect a device, then click Next >

5. When asked What do you want the wizard to do?, select Install the software automatically (Recommended)

6. Wait for the wizard to finish

Then download and install the two audio drivers from the website:

http://www.gigabyte.eu/Support/Motherboard...?ProductID=2672

Install the drivers in this order

1. Microsoft UAA (Universal Audio Architecture) Bus driver (Full Multi-language version )

2. Realtek Function driver for Realtek Azalia audio chip (Including Microsoft UAA Driver in English edition)

best regards,
