Hei!

Jeg har nå hatt CoD4 i 2 uker eller noe, og jeg må si at det er det beste spillet jeg har spilt på lenge! :)

Spillet ble også kåret til Game of the Year 2007!

Sluggo: It was a tough fight for the top spot this year, but in a rare show of harmony, there was near-unanimous love among GameSpy's editors for our 2007 overall Game of the Year: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It was a game that hit every target it aimed for, from its gripping single-player campaign to the ridiculously addictive I've-almost-got-enough-XP-for-that-cool-gun multiplayer.

The single-player campaign shifts back and forth between scripted cinematic spectacle and dynamic combat almost effortlessly: one minute you're knocking down tanks with a Javelin missile, the next you're thrown into a massive courtyard with a platoon of friendlies and enemies attacking from five directions. Everything from the cargo ship opening to the "All Ghilled Up" flashback to the frantic end missions were as tight as any game we've seen this year, and I expect I'm going to have the multiplayer sitting on my hard drive for quite a while. It's an impressive three-for-three for Infinity Ward.

Bryn: Call of Duty 4 is by far my favorite game of 2008. The sheer level of depth found in the online game (I've been playing on Xbox 360 mostly) is simply staggering. Infinity Ward has managed to refine the FPS genre to a point where you feel so connected with the story, characters and events that the level of intensity becomes simply incredible. The strong offline campaign coupled with the legendary online experience completes this amazing package. Visually amazing and aurally excellent, CoD4 does everything right and nothing wrong.

Fargo: Infinity Ward has always created great single-player experiences, tightly scripted to give you the biggest bang for the buck. This year it took that mastery of single-player pacing and perfected the art. But what really surprised me -- and pushed a great game into Game of the Year territory -- is how much fun the multiplayer is. It works on multiple levels and continually rewards you for playing. Perfect.

Will: I'm a multiplayer junkie, and Call of Duty 4's head-to-head action is the closest thing I've found to virtual crack. I can't remember the last time I played such an addictive multiplayer mode, and I constantly find myself saying "OK, just one more game..." even when it's 3 a.m. and I know I should be in bed. The most remarkable thing about the game is the deceptively simple experience structure, which rewards players with sweet gear and shiny medals. Every time you see that little +10 icon appear over a felled opponent's head, you know that you've just gotten a shade closer to ranking up once again. Oh, and did I mention how much I love the Challenges and the ability to create your own custom class? There were a lot of great multiplayer games released this year, but this is one of the only ones I'll still be playing deep into 2008.

Gerald: In a year chock-full of incredible games, Call of Duty 4 stands head and shoulders above the rest. The single-player campaign consistently amazed me with mouth-watering visuals and some of the most intense scenes I've ever experienced in a videogame. But the real reason why this is my Game of the Year is the multiplayer. As far as I'm concerned CoD4 is the definitive multiplayer shooter, thanks to unsurpassed gameplay and a rich rewards system that will keep me coming back for months to come.

Sterling: It's no exaggeration to say that there's been a torrential flood of shooters in 2007. Honestly, when Infinity Ward first showed off "All Ghillied Up" at E3, I thought, "Really? Another shooter? I guess I should be glad it's not World War II again." Somewhere along the way, deja vu struck again. That same sense of exhilaration I felt surgically separating SS troopers' bodies from their souls with a Thompson in CoD2 reared its head as I ducked down in a ghilly suit and primed up my sniper rifle. It doesn't matter if you're playing it on PC, 360 or PS3: nothing touches CoD4 this year. And though Call of Duty 2's online multiplayer was great itself, CoD 4 modernizes its predecessor's setup with a system that rewards you for simply hopping online and playing it, no matter how kill-licious or noobish you may be.

Patrick: Call of Duty 4 had a lot to live up to, for me. Call of Duty 2 reinvigorated my love of gaming when I really needed something -- I'd been working QA at the time. Although the intervening few years have left me more appreciative of gaming than I've been in a long time (this year in particular was packed with titles that managed to blow me away), Call of Duty 4 lived up to the standards its predecessor set for me. Bombastic and mercifully free of enemy-spawning closets, Call of Duty 4 is everything I'd hoped for and, cliché duly noted, more. And as the rest of the team has noted, this is simply the best multiplayer FPS available right now, hands down.

Spillet ble kåret til nr 1 under PS3, Xbox360, PC og OVERALL.
