FFXIII Versus To Be Mature Rated?

Vi har allerede sett fra den første traileren at FF13 VS har en mørkere undertone en tidligere spill fra serien.

Det spekuleres i om spillet vil få mature rating. For de av oss som syntes at FF12 muligens fikk ett litt for "sukkersøtt" image ser dette lovende ut!

 

As many of us noticed, at one point in the new Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer, the Prince impales one particular soldier with one of his many weapons. This is no new thing to Final Fantasy, but the effect you are all now thinking of is, blood and gore. Click on the screen shots below to see the exact moment in the trailer.

 

Minor blood has been in Final Fantasy's in the past, like on Sephiroth's face at the end of FFVII and the tiny patch of blood on Cloud's shirt after being stabbed by Sephiroth in FFVII: Advent Children. Those fall under the ESRB Teen Rating for "containing minimal blood" (Click here for the ESRB ratings guide). What is seen in the Versus trailer is in no stretch of the imagination "minimal blood", but easily fits into the ESRB Mature Rating's "contain intense violence, blood and gore" category.

 

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the first Final Fantasy game to receive a Mature Rating if changes are not made. This may come as a surprise as the creators of Versus are also the team behind Kingdom Hearts, which has only gone as high as an E10+ Rating.

 

Note, this is not confirmation of a Mature Rating. Although, if the final retail version of Versus still contains this amount of blood and gore it will be.

Tror FFXIII vs er den mer "amerikaniserte" versjonen. For de blodtørste rpg fans må jo dette være som ett fleskeben på selveste påskeaften. :!:

 

Vil tro vanlige FF13 vil være mer true to the style. Digger utseendet på hun jentå lightning. Hun ser så utrolig pen ut.

Hadde ikke vært motstander av en mature-rating, men er ikke som om jeg skriker etter det heller. Så lenge det ikke forlenger ventetiden kan de godt legge til litt blod og gørr for min del!

Syns det er bra at Square tør å prøve noe nytt. Ikke at det er så nytt, for FF VII hadde jo også en scene med "unødvendig mye vold" også da, bare blodet som manglet:

Mature, so what?! Big deal, hvem bryr seg? Pjokker ned til ti år storkoser seg med GTA, og har det fint. Om de får litt mye blod i et FF gjør vel ikke så mye? Squal hadde jo hele fjeset dekket av blod i VIII...
