Opera webbrowser 7 is smaller and faster than before, and packed with new features such as the new e-mail and news client, a sleek new interface, the Wand, one-click skinning and much, much more.

 

The initial 7.0 release from last week was severely plagued by security flaws discovered by GreyMagic Security Research

 

hree of the vulnerabilities are rated critical, as they allow full read access to the user's file system, including the ability to list contents of directories, read files, access emails and more. The remaining two last vulnerabilities are not as critical, but they're pretty severe as well. Opera exposes sensitive private information about the user by making it possible for a web site to access URLs that the user had last visited.

 

Version 7.01 is said to fix the encountered issues.

Opera 7 har vært ute en liten stund. Håper det er noen flere fixes i v7.01, enn oppretting av disse sikkerhetsfeilene. Jeg har merka noen bugs, og sånt. Men for all del; En god browser!
