Det betyr at det ikke blir follow up på C&C generals , og ikke minst en etterfølger....

 

Men er ryktene sanne?

Noen som vet... ?

Ser du på koveret , så står det EA på SimCity4

Men westwood we nok "master mind" bak spillet.

I'm beginning to wonder with the worse reputation mAXIS is getting from sc4

will they be shut down

say your opinion about this EA misuse of game studious

Sorry SC4 had nothing to do with this it's called business.All they are doing from what I heard is closing a few studios and sad to say laying people off.I feel when it's all done and over things will better for everyone except the people losing there jobs.So give whom ever time with the patch and updates to SC4.

all in all, the game has gotten pretty good reviews from trade publications i've read, except they all mention the lag (which will hopefully be fixed by the patch). i'm sure sales for the game have been spectacular as well, though i have not seen any of those.

and let us not forget, Maxis is also responsible for the highly successful The Sims franchise. whenever i see a list of the most successful selling games of all time, and of present times, i see at least a couple of The Sims games on there. Maxis has no financial problem.

of course, knowing my ability to "predict", this means they'll shut down tomorrow lol. kidding.

And oh yes, there is still the TheSims juggernaut to keep Maxis going for a while. The sales of SC4 are still through the roof, so Maxis should be good to go for awhile.

I think they are tending to their knitting as it were. EA is a computer/console game company and they may be deciding that owning a company that is primarily a motion picture studio is not the way to go.

SC4 went gold in pre-orders before it was released. I can only imagine it'll still grow. They'll fix the problems in time. Nothing is over night. As for westwood...that sux, but then, hopefully it'll give them the chance for major improvements.

Umm gold means that the game has been placed on the first Cd and is ready to be copied and packaged it has nothing to do with how many units have sold.

Actually, the term after the release "gone gold" or "gone platinum" is carried over from the music industry and is used by video game insiders as well to describe how well a title is selling. So you are right Joerg, but vipercamz is right as well.

Gold - 500,000 units sold

 

Platinum - 1,000,000 units sold

the shutting down of Westwood has nothing to do with money

they just one to elliminate the change that Westwood goes to somebody else with the c&c series wich will end with c&c generals

goodbye nod and gdi goodbye kane

i'll miss you

for as the sims EA owns the right so closing MAXIS wouldn't mean the end of the sims they would just leave it to somebodyelse as long as he works and owns them

and then no more sc lets say almost no more good rts

EA is destoying good game studios should be let them??

Oh come on, be realistic. Like EA is going to shut down Maxis, the company that created The Sims. Which if I may remind you last year became the best-selling game of all time, a title it still holds. Plus every expansion has been a top seller as well. Yeah, they're REALLY going to shut down Maxis...

les selv, der er også den offesielle uttalelsen fra EA..

dette var faktisk linket til på hw.no as well for noen dager siden, på sidebaren.

jeg orker ikke kommentere noe som helst, vil dere se min mening så er jeg brukeren Syfer på 3drealms og har postet om det, noe som dere får se hvis dere åpner linken..

jeg er meget skuffet, ingenting annet å si.
