Lilac1 Skrevet 3. oktober 2007 Forfatter Del Skrevet 3. oktober 2007 (endret) Hello Lilac1 Thank you for contacting NVIDIA Customer Care. I understand that you have GeForce 8800 GTS graphics card with the driver 163.69 and Vista operating system. You randomly get artifacts when using graphics intensive applications. To understand the nature of the issue you have, I will need additional information such as: 1) Since when are you having the issue? 2) Is it after updating the display driver to the driver version 163.69? 3) Did you uninstall or install any software or hardware? 4) Did you try installing any other driver to resolve the issue? 5) Do you have onboard graphics adaptor? 6) Did you try connecting the monitor to another port on the graphics card? 7) Do you get the issue with any specific applications or with all the applications? Regards, NVIDIA Customer Care. ___________________________________________________________________ 1: I've had this issue since I got the card in may, following driver updates as they were made available. 2: No, see above 3: Nothing graphics related. The problem has persisted through a few hardware changes and a complete OS reinstall. 4: No, every official driver since May including betas has provided this error. 5: No 6: No, is this even worth trying? 7: Hard to say, the problem only appears in games, and is only really noticeable against a somewhat bright background. This far, World in conflict and Prey have been the ones where the error would be easiest to spot. I see few similarities in the graphics engines of those games, so this leads me to believe that this problem is occurring on all games. If you need a visual interpretation of the problem, think of it as comparable to a transparent wave of sorts, just slightly distorting the screen on it's path from bottom to top of the screen, like a bulge. _________________________________________________________________ Hello Lilac1 Thank you for the information. I suspect the issue you have is hardware issue. It could be for the following reasons: 1) Due to a defective monitor or 2) Due to a defective graphics card. To isolate the issue, please connect a different monitor and see if you have the same issue, the monitor is fine. If you do not have any issues with a different monitor, then the monitor is defective. If the monitor is fine, then the card is defective. Please contact your card manufacturer for assistance. Please feel free to contact us for any further clarification. Regards, NVIDIA Customer Care. :/ Endret 3. oktober 2007 av Lilac1 Lenke til kommentar
