Diverse problemer med innspilling av lyd i linux

Hei!

Jeg driver med litt musikkproduksjon på hobbybasis, og etter å ha brukt linux i en del år nå, så har jeg virkelig lyst til å kunne gjøre nettopp dette også i et GNU/Linux-miljø. Jeg har installert Ubustu som ser ut til å være en god oppfølger til Demudi. Jeg har derimot litt problemer med å få ting til å virke når det gjelder innspilling av lyd.

 

Jeg har et Creative Audigy LS PCI lydkort, med to innganger (Mic og line in).

Har også et innebygd lydkort, men har skrudd av dette i BIOS.

Avspilling av lyd fungerer som det skal.

Jeg har koblet en gitareffektprosessor direkte inn i Line in inngangen på lydkortet.

I jackd kan jeg velge mellom følgende:

Men uansett hvilke av disse jeg velger, klarer jeg ikke å få lyd når jeg spiller inn.

Okey, har kommet så langt at jeg har fått til å spille inn i Audacity, og det er da noe...

Men har kommet over et annet problem, det lagger når jeg spiller inn et spor mens jeg et annet (trommer) kjører playback... Trur jeg skulle ha rask nok maskin (1024 MB RAM og 2.0 Ghz), så er det noe annet jeg kan gjøre for å bli kvitt problemet?
