Highbury - Proud to be a Gooner!

Støtter deg her.

The Mirror, Daily Mail, The Sun, The DailyStar osv.

Ryktes at Ox skadet kneet sitt i går.

Uten tvil.

Liker heller ikke dette fra Gazidis:

“The manager is not scared to spend, has the experience, but as always will have to juggle a set budget."

Groves jokes we need physical presence so every Arsenal fan should send a 'good luck in the World Cup to Yaya'.

Rix says certain pitches in the league aren't up to standard & it would improve the quality of the game.

Fan says he's delighted Arsène signed new 3yr contract. Asks, however, Arsenal's views for transition period will be at end of contract. Gazidis says such Club have been reliant on Arsene's knowledge but at some point transition will happen. Says AW is conscious of that.

Gazidis says Arsene is dedicated to ensure that the transition of a new manager is seen as part of his own legacy. Wants built upon. Gazidis says Arsene still plays in staff matches & his fitness is top notch.

IG: "Arsène's legacy is based on him wanting to take Arsenal to the next level. Everything he did/does is for the future."

IG: "Arsène is impossible to replace. He has given us the footballing philosophy we have now."

IG says we're hardwiring Arsene's philosophy into the Club now from youth-up to help with transition when he moves on.

Gazidis says just cause Özil deal was announced on last day doesn't mean it was done then. "Özil was announced on the last day of the window. A deal like that takes a long time. We worked with Real Madrid for months."

Gazidis says there's a reason this Club has a consistency at top level despite salaries rising & that is because we do transfers well. Says we have over 100yrs plus experience in transfers from negotiations to day to day convos.

Pat Rice says that if Arsenal go in for an English player the price doubles so that in part explains why we have many foreign talents.

Fans from AST says we don't need Cesc but we need to buy him to stop other teams getting him as he's one of us. Gazidis says he can't give up too much on 1 player. Says we have a strict budget & will be disciplined in signing players we need. Gazidis says Arsene does a great job in the transfer market & will deliver signings that we need.

Rix & Groves say players want club to improve but not in their position. Says Limpar scored 3 in pre-season & knew he'd be on bench now.

IG asked on his thoughts on FFP. Says it's now off the ground in England & Europe but no-one is clear on future sanctions. IG: "Nobody really knows if FFP will work. We've seen the first steps, some clubs have been penalised but the summer will show us more."

Gazidis says we will have a clearer understanding of FFP at end of this transfer window. Says we as fans should back it. Gazidis says current proposition of football isn't sane & FFP would attract the right type of owner into the game to the overall benefit. IG: "We have seen some clubs already selling existing players to buy new ones. Real impact of FFP will be measured in a couple of years."

A member of Gay Gooners says he wants to thank Gazidis for being first Club to promote inclusion of gay fans. Crowd clap. Pat Rice say Arsenal look at quality & it doesn't matter if a player if gay or not & that it never stopped Graham Rix. Gazidis didn't look impressed at that joke.

Gazidis says Arsenal were first Club to reach the 'advanced level' status set by Kick It Out. Proud of that. Perry Groves says it wouldn't bother 95% of fans wouldn't care if a player was gay & we should make it zero tolerant on "ignorant people". Groves says he hopes that when first player comes out as gay, it's a world class player & that will help lead way for the rest. Graham Rix says Arsenal as a club would support a player if he was gay but he'd get abused at White Hart Lane.

Gazidis says "how the hell do you think I feel" when asked by fan how he thinks fans feel when players are always injured. "We know we suffered from injuries this year & we're investing to make sure we understand the cause better - to be stronger next year." Gazidis says data Analytics company we bought last year is being used to help combat injuries.
