Dragon Ball-spill til X360?

Dragon ball online (officially abbreviated as dbo) is a mmorpg being developed simultaneously in japan and south korea by ntl, based on the anime and manga series dragon ball. series creator akira toriyama has a great deal of creative control over the project, both contributing to and supervising the story and art design, including character and location designs. beta testing is scheduled to begin in korea in the summer of 2007, and a release in japan is expected in 2008. namco bandai has confirmed that they are making a dragon ball video game for the xbox 360 with the title dragon ball online.

 

dragon ball online is set in age 1000, exactly 216 years after son goku left the 28th world tournament to train uub in age 784. the player takes the role of one of the many warriors living in the dragon ball world, which are searching for the dragon balls, training to compete in the tenkaichi budokai, or aspiring to become like the warriors of legend. while training, the player senses a disaster strike the world.

 

the earth is divided into pieces by a villainous organization known as the dark eye, which is lead by a mysterious individual. receiving guidance from time patrol trunks, the player sets out on a journey to defeat the mastermind and save the world, meeting other players along the way, and interacting with the denizens of the dragon world, including characters from the original series.

 

features

currently, there will be at least three playable races; earthling, namekian and saiyan. players will be able to further customize their avatars with a variety of options, including hairstyles, colors, and clothing. human players will begin their journey on earth, recruited by time patrol trunks to help save the world, while namekians will begin on new namek, guided by saichoro to help those on earth. sayians also begin their journey on earth. players also have the option to start their journey as a child, allowing their character to age and grow into adulthood as they play the game, much like the main characters of the original series.

Dragonball Online was announced a couple of days ago, but today’s big news is the fact that Dragonball Online is going to be making it’s way to the Xbox 360.

 

It seems that developer NTL has posted a job on Gamejob looking for a developers who have experience in developing MMOs as well as working on the Xbox 360. And oh yea, don’t forget the C++.

 

There has been no official confirmation straight from NTL on the possibility of an Xbox 360 version coming out, but this job posting is pretty much proof enough that everyone needs in order for this to be somewhat “confirmed”. As soon as we receive the official word, you can guarantee that I’ll put it up.
