Jeg skulle til å si: Kan vi ikke bare legalisere det og bli ferdig med det? Ingenting kan bli verre enn det er idag.

 

Men tarzan har selvsagt rett. Det er nesten umulig for et land som Norge å legalisere noe som nesten alle andre (og alle store) land har kriminalisert. USA må gå foran, så kan vi gjøre som vi vil...

Håper dette har en domino effekt for resten av verden, dette går riktig vei :) er lovlig og røyke det i Colorado og Washington nå.

 

 

 

BREAKING NEWS: Even though the law does not go in effect until December, police in Seattle have declared that they will no longer arrest citizens for possessing an ounce or less of marijuana starting tonight.

Finnes det noen politikere i Norge som har ryggrad til å tenke selv? Jeg føler liksom at Norge er en internasjonal dørmatte.

Det finnes absolutt politikere i Norge som kan tenke selv. Det er bare ikke så lett for dem å få noe gjort. Det blir litt lettere hvis folk faktisk stemmer på dem. (Det fordrer jo selvsagt at det finnes partier som faktisk nominerer dem da.)

 

Men selv da vil vi ha problemer. Det er ikke bare-bare å gå mot strømmen for et land som er avhengig av internasjonal handel. Nå er vi riktig nok så heldige at alle vil ha vår viktigste eksportartikkel, nemlig oljen, men vi kan fort få betale dyrt for annen boikott.

Er litt uklart om hvordan det fungerer der idag, vanskelig å finne noe nytt om det her, men her er en kommentar fra en fyr som bor i Uruguay:

 

You asked with exact timing! Yesterday some news came out, along with the complete law project intended to be presented to legislators.

 

I'll post the links along with a mini explanation from me, but they're in spanish, however, you may translate them if interested with some online translator you might now (google? perhaps?)

In that report the president claimed that he never tried marijuana but he thinks it deserves to be treated more respectfully and we should get to know a lot more about it, and that he believes the prejudgments are being too rough, as we live in and old-fashioned country, with a mostly old-aged population, where everyone is pretty much conservative. He adds he's not afraid of the drug itself, but the black business around it.

 

Also, he says that he wants to get rid of pasta base which is destroying the poor youth of the country, and he refer to them as ill people, not delinquents.

 

Finally, he mentions that it is not his intention to bother neighbour countries, and that if he sells x amount of joints, and they appear in Brazil (the example he gave), it makes you (the buyer) responsible. In addition, he said that he can't allow addicts from other countries to come to Uruguay to get high. (lol)

In this second link, it is embedded in pdf format the law project itself.

In the report, it is said that fines for exceeding the 6 plant amount allowed to be grown domestically (yup, finally added to the law!!) are to be up to 60 thousand dollars, and include prison up to 10 years too. (i guess nobody would like to try the limits, lol).

 

Those plants are supposed to be to personal consume or to share at home, and they calculated a total of 480grams of cannabis from them, but it doesn't make clear if that amount is per a certain time, or what you can have at any time, simoultaneously.

 

All this, regulated by a new institute (INCA) (translated National Institute of CAnnabis), who's responsible for giving the licesences to individuals so they can grow, and also control those plants. Privates, to get the license, will be required to pay some money to the government.

 

I haven't read the whole pdf, but it says that the amount sold per month per person is to be 40 grams, and from other sources, it seems that we'll have a variety of strains to choose from, which is awesome.

 

All this seems to cool to be real, but this approach seems to be the right one, and looks pretty close!

 

As a personal addition: it has been like a week that I've been trying to buy weed (prensado, of course frown.gif ) and it has been the hardest time ever, nobody has it. Today, speaking with an aquaintance who's getting some for me in the capital city tomorrow, he told me that he heard in the radio news that the marijuana offer has been pulled down in order to get desperate people to buy pasta base, for you to get an idea of how bad the issue is... pretty sad I'd say.
