Litt problemer med Grub.

Jeg har har fra før av installert Ubuntu, og da er vel også Grub installert. Så har jeg installert Arch Linux i dag (ihvertfall frem til jeg skal laste det).

 

Disk 1:

- Part1: Ubuntu (bootable)

- Part5: ubuntu-swap

Disk 2:

- Part1: filer/lagring (ext2)

- Part2: Arch (bootable)

- Part5: arch-swap

Altså ligger Ubuntu på hda1 (hd(0,0)), og Arch ligger på hdb2 (hd(1,1)).

 

Så da åpner jeg /boot/grub/menu.lst på hda1 (Ubuntu-partisjonen) og legger til en Arch-loader. Da ser det slik ut:

Men når jeg velger å starte Arch, så får jeg feilmeldingen: No Filesystem could mount root, tried:

Kernel Panic - Not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown.block(0,0)

Men jeg har ikke satt Arch til å laste hd(0,0) i grub-filen.

 

Hva gjør jeg feil?

Ja. Naa kjorte jeg grub-installeren fra Arch-installasjonen, og kopierte outputen fra den inn i Ubuntu-grub-filen. Saa naa fungerer det.

menu.lst ble da seende slik ut:

(men som dere ser, sliter tastaturet litt. jeg tror det var noe i installasjonen som jeg ikke helt forstod. kan det fikses paa naa?)
