A guider's advice

My name is Bill, and I'm working at a guiding agency, where we're guiding tourists that visit our country, mostly in the summers. We're giving advices to people that want to visit some new places, for a new experience,

One day these couple of tourists came to me, and wanted to know if it was possible to find a place where they could just have an ordinary summer vacation. I mean as in 'chilling,' because there are lots of different things to spend your time on.

 

Tourist: I would like to get some travel advices on where to travel. Me and my wife, Patricia, have been many places, and have experienced different Australian cultures. We've visited an old native settlement, we've been to Sidney when the Summer Olympics was in town, and we've also been to Toronto to watch our favourite team; Toronto Maple Leaves play some ice-hockey matches.

But now we just want to find a place where we can chill. It's the same whether the place is near the ocean, or has a swimming pool, but I would rather prefer a spot near the ocean.

Patricia: And I want a really cool place, where it is a bit colder than elsewhere around here, where we can relax and sunbathe and possibly a have a good time at the spa. If I know Adam right, he might want to surf as well as relaxing on the beach, having a sunbathe.

Adam: Of course you do.

Bill: Well, if you want a place where it's neither too hot or too cold, you should try out Gold Coast in Queensland, for a luxury residence, with coral reeves if you want to dive. The reeves stretch as far as eye can see, up from the southern end of Queensland, in the north-east of Australia, and up to the northern part. There are many places you can travel, but people that have come through our guiding agency, tell us that the fine granular, mostly white-sanded beach that stretches approximately at the same way as the reeves, are on of the most common places to visit, for instance.

Since you wanted to travel near the coast, I recommend you to take the bus-express from here, that's called Greyhound, which travels all over the country.

You've probably heard of them before, if you have been to Australia.

Adam: I don't think so. Maybe I've heard of the express before, but now my mind is stuck up in a 'vacation-kind-of-modus.'

Bill: Anyway, you can take the plane as well, over to Sydney, but people has claimed that it's better to take a bus to get a real experience of being near the native people, as you drive past them throughout Australia. From the bus, you can see the famous Ayers Rock also called “Uluru.”

By the way ,my recommendation is to visit “Wallaman Falls” at the same time, as you're going to Queensland. Wallaman Falls are well known, and it's estimated at a height of 305 meters.

Tourists: You've been the greatest help to us, as we now got a final destination point for our travel this year. We're mostly like to come back to Australia in some couple or three years from now on, and if we're passing by, we shall drop in.

Bill: The pleasure was mine. I would love to meet you again, and if you're coming back, you know that I will help you. Just visit or agency again, and ask for me.

Then the tourists walk towards the exit, open the door, and then leaves the agency.

Why I prefer to use Intel Core, instead of AMD Athlon

For the readers that don't know so much about computer hardware, I'm now going to argue about which of these 2 producers of computer hardware that makes the best processor for the most reasonable price.

Throughout the time, AMD has won awards for the best game playable processors, and Intel for it's ordinary usage in offices, in making multimedia/movies.

I'm using AMD Athlon x2 now, because it's a much more cheaper than Intel Core 2 Duo. What would you prefer if you knew that the same processor was 3 times cheaper? Spending 3 times more money on a processor, when the only difference are the price and accreditation. What would you've chosen?

My opinion is that the price is important, if these 2 processors; AMD Athlon x2 2.4GHz(around 950NOK), and Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz(around 2750NOK) yield approximately the same. I would chose the cheapest solution; the AMD processor, which corresponds to approximately 4.6 Intel Pentium GHz. Why choose a hardware for the 'little' accreditation anyway?

Actually it's all about money, because the more you got it of, there more you can spend on a processor.

 

I would rather choose to buy Intel, because I prefer their technology style and their way to make the processors ruin any other token. Actually I'm the 'gamer-kind-of' person that likes more or less to play computer games, and therefore I'm using AMD as my overall solution to any jobs it may be used to.

Intel is better than AMD, because Intel is using a brand new technology, that they've found up by their selves; the 4x core technology.

4x doesn't mean that it's 4 times better than the processors ordinary one(x1,) but that the Core is divided into 4 processes; one for games, another for music; and so on. Furthermore you can actually program these divided part to do what you want, to fit your using.

And because of the strength of the Intel processor, I would of chose the best solution; an Intel Core 2 Extreme 2.93GHz(around 8250NOK), that is crushing any opponent with its 65nm.

The 4x core hasn't been under development for as long as any other processor type has been, so Intel is going to go for the lead, and push their prices down, when AMD is launching their x4 core. Until then, both of the producers of hardware will be in the tie.

However, I got a bad relation to Intel, because my old Intel Pentium 4 x2 3GHz suddenly got a hole into the core, which seems unbelievable. Like metal would cauterize on a heat of 50-60C degreases? My ass!

 

So my conclusion is that I would rather have bought a good processor, than an expensive one that corresponds to almost the same.

But since Intel processors have been through a change; from the 2x to 4x, and is in the lead, I would have bought an Intel processor, because of their 'heart beating' technology, if I could afford to spend my money on it, which is irrelevant. The more you're willing to pay, the more and better you get it.

But this is really about each others flavour, in most of this occasions, when people buy their selves a new processor, whether it's an AMD, or an Intel.

A sky of smoke

The day was always the same. There were no exceptions. I was working as a bartender at “The Mully’s” two blocks from my apartment, where I usually was, spending my spare time, if I had any at all.

One day, even though which day doesn’t matter, my employer wanted to talk to me.

I went to her office. I sat down and listened to what the girl wanted to tell me. At last, I understood the point. I was getting fired. What a day. At least one difference. I don’t know why I suddenly got fired, and there was no reason for to stay here, as I got fired anyway.

So I went out the back door, and saw a stranger talking to an employee that worked as a stripper. Her name was Laura. I was in love with her, but as I knew that she hadn’t feelings for me, I just didn’t care.

As I went down the street, someone attacked me from behind. I struggled against, but couldn’t get loose. I felt sleepy, and some moment later, I was another place. It’s a bit hard to explain, because I can’t find any words to describe it.

 

I woke up. I didn’t know how long I’d slept. But I knew that this was it. There was no going back now. All of a sudden I felt some doubt on my mind; - did I really want to do this? Well, I had to do it. I could not disappoint all the people that had turned up to watch this one night that no one wouldn’t forget for sure.

I was afraid; like a bit scared of what would happen or could occur on the mission from my Boss.

I was afraid, and if I didn’t make it, I would probably end up like one of many at the dunghill. I would rather infiltrate a drug cartel and set fire to the shitty place, than end up like a dead body nobody would have recognized disappeared.

If people think that “once you’ve joined, there will be no turning back” is just crap, they should try this mafia shit. You would never survive a day, like “survival of the fittest.” But does it look like I decided that I was going to infiltrate that drug cartel? You just get ambushed at the street, and suddenly you wake up in a dusty, little room with blood covered walls.

Suddenly you just realize that this can be the end of everything. What would you do? Anyway, I chose to do the job, and I focused on getting it done.

I met up at my Boss` safe house to get the information needed to get this job done. When I showed up, the boss sat on the chair, in the opposite direction of me, looking through the window.

Two guys appeared from behind, but stopped some meters behind me.

- So, you are ready, aren’t you?

- Actually I’m not quite…

- Did I ask if you were ready?

- Actually… The boss stood up, and hit his right fist onto the table.

- Don’t answer, just listening! I got scared, and shut my mouth for a while, listening to the boss` information.

- I caught two infiltrators last week, attempting to ruin my work, I suppose. I didn’t get a single word out of them, so I just got them killed. You will be driven to a warehouse just a bit out of town. You will be dropped off onto the street with Mario, one of my guys. After you’ve found the warehouse, you and Mario will find the snitch. Because of that snitch, one of my men is dead now! I can’t afford to lose another man. Is

- Yes, boss!

- Then get lost! Suddenly the Boss turned his armchair around, and saw straight into my eyes. I felt my back freezing while the Boss stared at me.

- What are you waiting for?!

- I’m off now, Boss!

I followed after Mario to the car. The car was almost invisible at night, covered with a blackish blue color. We jumped into the car, and a moment later, we were driven on our way to what I imagined at that time, as a possible death.

 

We got dropped out at a shady street corner, not far from the warehouse, and went to the place behind the storage. Mario knocked on the door, and some seconds later a guy showed up. Mario grabbed a plank and hit the guy in the head. His body collapsed, and his head hit the ground with a loud “BANG!”

Mario is a muscular person, so I don’t know why he used a stick. But I wouldn’t find out if he was strong, and could possible kill with a single hit.

Mario told me to get some gas cans, and incline the gas out, outside the warehouse, after we had obtained the right guy, and then set fire to the warehouse to warn the people spying at him.

He took the guy to a place nearby, and at the same time I was going to get the cans and bring them to the outside of the storage. I took a colt .45 from the car with me, and went back to the warehouse. I went inside, and got my eyes on a big box standing in the middle of the huge room. Or more specific, it was a container.

I was on my way against the big crate, when I suddenly got pulled

backward because of something. I felt 2 big hands on my shoulders, but didn’t turn around.

- What did I tell you? Just do what you’re supposed to do.

We went to the other side of the warehouse, and found a guy sleeping on a bench, not far from the gigantic container.

Mario took a strange, little bottle up from his pocket inside his shin coat, and a piece of a handkerchief and inserted the handkerchief with the liquid from the bottle. He grabbed the stranger’s face, and covered his mouth with the rag, before he got as tired as he was when they found him. He probably got strangled by the liquid inserted at the rag.

We went to the car, laid down the body inside the car, and I went back.

I grabbed a bottle filled with spirits, and put a rag on the top in the bottle, and lit it. I threw it through the window, and a fire was started, and got its shape. Smoke covered the whole sky, and you could see the cloud of smoke from a distance of over 20 miles.

 

We drove back, and I got dropped off a place near my flat. I went home and had a goodnights sleep.

Next morning I woke up because of somebody knocking on my door. But I didn’t give a fuck about that, because what I’ve been through lately.

But the knocking wouldn’t stop.

I could see a tall man. He was also quite muscular. Now I knew it! But what was going to happen? I just stood there, looking

Suddenly the door broke up, and Mario waltzed through the opening that once was a solid door of massive oak tree.

I lied on the floor, unmovable, as I was at that time. When he saw down, his sight met my eyes. I got stunned.

- I’m so sorry. I have no choice, but to kill you.

- No, please. Don’t kill me. I beg you!

Then Mario started laughing. He couldn’t stop laughing.

- I’m just kidding. Here’s your money for your good work. The Boss appreciates what you did for him, and maybe we have something for you another time. See you ‘til then.

Then Mario left the same way, as he came from. I couldn’t move. I was just too paralyzed, if that’s possible.

Ok, den første og den siste teksten var gode. Men selv om det ser ut til at du ikke er ferdig med Intel og AMD teksten, er det på tide å 'grille' den. Du har jo skrevet ferdig konklusjonen, regner med at det fortsatt er litt innmat igjen?

I'm using AMD Athlon now, because it's a much more cheaper than Intel Core 2 Duo. (Hva er dobbeltkjerne og hvordan fungerer dette?) But I would rather choose to buy Intel, because I prefer their technology style. Actually I'm the 'gamer- kind of' person that loves to play computer games, and their for(Therefore) I'm using AMD.
