Need and old Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200GB SATA 8MB!

Hi all. Due to me being a plonka and ruining my hard drive while drunk last night I am in need of a replacement.

 

So Im hoping perhaps someone has a hard drive laying around that is damaged or not needed rather than buying a brand new one.

 

I am planning on taking the circuit board out and replacing it with the working one.

 

So if anyone has one I would be very grateful.

Wow, dude, is that really worth the time and effort? Those disks are really cheap at the moment.

Yeah I have ordered one just now. Alot of the information on the disk is important so I have to try. Rather buy a new one for 900kr than send it in to be profesionally recovered costing alot more. Just hoped someone had one laying around.

Hi all. Turns out made anothe mistake.... Lots at the moment. I need a 200gb hard drive and cant buy it in norway anymore..... model number is 6B200MO (6B200MO4601A)

Problem is that this is my Xp disk. I wont be able to free it up before my next reinstall, which is scheduled in the near future.

Just confirmed the disc. Its the one.

 

Why dont you get back to me if the other guys "fails". As I said previously I need to reinstall XP to free this disc, and that wont happen untill end of May (awaiting some new discs).

 

I'll check back to this post after my reinstall to see whats your status.

I could probably free the disc by next friday.

 

I'll sell it to you for 500 kroner. The price is quite "stiff" for a used disc, but I'll need to replace it with a new one.

thanks for the offer. I have one other option right now but to be honest, I really dont care where the disk comes from, as long as I can at least try and recover the data. Ill let you know in the next couple of days if you need to go to all the trouble.
