Hvis du kun skal fjerne html-taggene og ikke bevare noe formatering så skal noe tilsvarende koden under også fungere:

 

String plainText = htmlText.replaceAll("<.>","");

 

HTML-en må isåfall ikke inneholde noen < eller > tegn på rare steder og alle tags må starte med < og slutte med >. Desverre så er HTML ofte skrevet feil.
