The Lordz Modding Collective is happy to announce our next project; Take Command Napoleon: Chapter 1, The Peninsular War! Headed by Lord Roglea, this mod for the Take Command: Second Manassas game will bring the Napoleonic warfare of the Peninsular Campaign to the Single Player world in the same splendor that Napoleonic Total War 2 brought it to the Multiplayer world! We are happy to use the Take Command engine, the premier Single Player wargame in existence. Take Command features: * A deadly enemy AI; you might react to seeing a thousand enemy soldiers in the woods ahead of you, thinking they are the vanguard of the entire enemy army... while all the while a massive flanking attack masses in the woods to your rear! The AI in Take Command is unparalleled in any other Single Player wargame. * Massive maps covering many, MANY miles of farmlands, woods, fields, clearings, and rivers, lending to sprawling battles that aren't finished in a 10 minute rush; no corner camping here! Instead, you better get your flanks into some good ground and hope they don't get around you! * A full command structure for the armies. No more General units; instead, Armies are broken into Corps and Divisions and Brigades, with each having its own officers and supply trains. While you CAN take command of each individual unit and tell it where to go, it is far more efficient to take command of the officers instead and order the units from there! * Play both historical battles that follow the actual events of true battles AND open battles that can ask you to defend an area, attack an objective held by the enemy, or just plunk you down in the world and let you find and destroy the enemy however you can! * True military commands; no clicking and dragging units; instead, divisions form line for battle, or brigades form into column and actually march along the roads to their destination... and you better hold the roads, as an enemy can easily slow you to a crawl by simply cutting off the road systems! * Realistic Fog of War! You don't just see an enemy on the map in video game style; instead, you have to scout with your cavalry and actually FIND the enemy, bit by bit... I can tell you, there is nothing as terrifying as having a unit of your scouting cavalry break out of the cover of woods onto a road and run into ENDLESS columns of enemies, literally tens of thousands of them, all in column, officers yelling orders, KNOWING their final destination is... YOU. We are especially happy to tackle this project as we hope it will appeal to our fans in a totally new way. Where NTW1 and NTW2 are the premier Multiplayer Napoleonic games in existence, Take Command: Napoleon will be the premier Single Player game in existence. Don't worry about internet speeds or abnoxious players or cavalry rushes or corner camping or any of aspects of MP we don't enjoy; instead, fire it up and play whenever you want! Take Command Napoleon: Chapter 1, The Peninsular War will include the British army (including Spanish and Portugese troops) and the French army. We will be releasing more info as it comes, but for now, here are a few WIP screenshots. Please note these are WIP. The Lordz are happy to have Lord Roglea on board, and happy to be able to offer this fine wargame to the Napoleonic Community! If there are other modders who would like to come on board and help with this project, they are MOST welcome; we always welcome the help! Please do come by the Take Command Napoleon section of our forums at forum.thelordz.co.uk for more info forumet dems http://forum.thelordz.co.uk/index.php Jeg er ikke en del av the lordz bare en fan som sprer litt propaganda Lenke til kommentar
