So now that that's all done, let's take a look at the scoring.... Performance (weight of 40%): So where does this PSU get a perfect 10 in the performance department? Voltage regulation? Check. Power factor? Check. Putting out what the label claims? Check. Holding up to high temperatures? Check. Ripple? Check. Noise? Check. Efficiency? Oh wait... 9.5 it is. Aesthetics (weight of 10%) is 7. I know it looks the same as the ST75ZF that scored a 6.5 here, but because all of the PCI-e connectors are fixed and sleeved, I'm giving the ST85ZF another half point. Value (weight of 30%): At just over $300, the ST85ZF is almost $90 more than the ST75ZF. $90 for 100 more watts. Seems like a lot of money, but when you consider other 800 to 850W PSU's on the market, the Coolmax CTG-850, the Enermax Galaxy 850W, KDM's 850W, all seem to be around the same price, and there really isn't a reliable 850W for any less, the value score is a 9. Now for the functionality score (weight of 20%) As I mentioned, it's not modular, external or does any thing that really sets itself apart from any other power supply But the cables are plenty long enough, the unit isn't oversized despite being able to put out 850W, it comes with four PCI-e connectors and all of the connectors are labeled as to what 12V rail they're on, so I'm giving it an 8.5. Performance 9.5 Aesthetics 7 Value 9 Functionality 8.5 Total Score 9 The Silverstone ST85ZF's final score is 9, so it receives a "jonnyGURU recommended" SUMMARY: The Silverstone Zeus ST85ZF is a great way to ensure you have enough power for quad SLI, quad core, or just to "future proof" your PC. The power is ample and the size compact. The connectors are plentiful and well labeled. In all seriousness, the only downfall of this power supply, aside from "personal preference" items like modular connectors and a shiny finish, is the power supply's mediocre efficiency. The Good.... * Excellent voltage regulation * SLI and Crossfire certified and capable of Quad-SLI * Four PCI-e connectors * Quiet * Active Power Factor Correction * 12V rails labeled on each connector The Bad.... * Nothing really bad to say The Mediocre.... * Efficiency not as promised * Plain looking * Would like to see ALL of the cables sleeved Totalt sett MEGET BRA - og etasis strømforsyniner holder normalt sett en meget høy byggekvalitet, MYE bedre enn de fleste andre.
