On March 31, 1993, the 52nd day of a 60-day shooting schedule for The Crow, the scene being filmed was when Lee's character was to walk into his apartment and see his girlfriend being raped by thugs. This would subsequently lead to Eric being brutally killed, along with his girlfriend, by the thugs. Actor Michael Massee, who played one of the villains named Funboy in the movie, was supposed to fire a gun at Lee, as he walked into his apartment with groceries. Because the movie's second unit team were running behind schedule, it was decided that dummy cartridges — bullets that outwardly appear to be functional, but contain no gunpowder — would be made from real cartridges, which had been brought to the set, earlier in production. Bruce Merlin, an effects technician, dismantled the live cartridges by removing the bullets, emptying out the gunpowder, detonating the primer, and reinserting the bullets. This rendered the cartridges inoperative, but realistic in appearance. Merlin and his propmaster, Daniel Kuttner, took initiative to create some blanks by removing live cartridges, and replacing the gunpowder with firework powder; the bullets were not reinserted. Later, a cartridge with only a primer and a bullet, was fired in a pistol; this caused the bullet to lodge in the forcing cone of the revolver. When the first unit used this gun to shoot the death scene, the chamber was loaded with blanks which had no bullets. However, there was still the bullet in the barrel, which was propelled out by the blank cartridge's explosion. Consequently, Lee was shot and severely wounded, as cameras were rolling at the Carolco Studios in Wilmington, North Carolina. Seconds later, director Alex Proyas stopped the scene, but Lee remained on the floor. Stuntman (and Lee's friend) Jeff Imada ran over to him with a paramedic, and discovered a thin slit, an inch below to the right of his navel; by this time, Lee had slipped into unconsciousness, and was rushed to the hospital where doctors discovered that a bullet was the cause of the damage. They fought for five hours in an attempt to save him, but at 1:04 PM he was pronounced dead at the age of 28. Roman Polanski voldtok 13-åring. In 1977 Polański, 43, became embroiled in a scandal involving 13-year-old Samantha Geimer. It ultimately led to Polański's guilty plea to the charge of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. According to Geimer, Polański asked Geimer's mother if he could photograph the girl for French Vogue. Her mother allowed a private photo shoot. According to transcripts of testimony, Polański photographed Geimer on February 20, 1977, in the Hollywood Hills. This photo shoot took place without incident, except for the fact that Polański asked Geimer to pose topless for some of the photographs. According to Geimer in a 2003 interview, "Everything was going fine; then he asked me to change, well, in front of him." She added, "It didn't feel right, and I didn't want to go back to the second shoot." However, subsequent to the first photo shoot, she agreed to a second session, which took place on March 10, 1977, in the Mulholland area of Los Angeles, near Jack Nicholson's estate. "We did photos with me drinking champagne," Geimer says. "Toward the end it got a little scary, and I realized he had other intentions and I knew I was not where I should be. I just didn't quite know how to get myself out of there." Geimer alleged that Polański sexually assaulted her after giving her a combination of champagne and quaaludes. In the 2003 interview, Geimer says she resisted. "I said no several times, and then, well, gave up on that," she says. Her 1977 sworn deposition shows Geimer did not object to drinking champagne, replying "I don't care" in the company of Polański and another woman. Geimer also says her drinking continued for a sustained period - as she was posing for Polański's pictures with a champagne glass - to the extent that she became intoxicated. Subsequently, Polański allegedly produced a quaalude, divided it into three and asked, "Is this a quaalude?". After Geimer's affirmation he asked, "Do you think I will be able to drive if I take it?" and "Should I take it?", to which Geimer replied, "I don't know". He then took a piece of the quaalude and offered one to Geimer, who accepted. Of taking the quaalude, Geimer says, "I must have been pretty drunk otherwise I wouldn't have". The testimony indicates that prior to the use of quaalude, Geimer had a telephone conversation with her mother at Polański's instruction. Immediately before this, Polański had told Geimer, "I want to take some pictures of you in the jacuzzi". During the conversation, Geimer's mother asked her if she wished to be picked up, to which Geimer replied "No". Polański then spoke to Geimer's mother and told her that they would be shooting until late. The photograph session then continued, ultimately culminating in the alleged assault. Polański was initially charged with rape by use of drugs, perversion, sodomy, lewd and lascivious act upon child under 14, and furnishing a controlled substance (methaqualone) to a minor, but these charges were dismissed under the terms of his plea bargain, and he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor (Washington Post, August 10, 1977). The grand jury transcript describes the alcohol that Polański allegedly supplied before engaging in oral, vaginal and anal sex with the girl. (In Roman by Polański, Polański alleged that the mother had set up the daughter as part of a casting couch and blackmail scheme against him.) After spending 45 days in psychiatric evaluation, Polański fled the United States for Paris when it seemed that the judge would not approve his plea bargain deal for no prison sentence. James Dean døde i bilulykke. Dean and his mechanic Rolf Wuetherich set off from Competition Motors where they had prepared his Porsche 550 Spyder that morning for a sports car race at Palm Springs. Dean originally intended to tow the Porsche to the meeting point at Salinas behind his Ford, crewed by Hickman and photographer Stanford Roth, who was planning a photo story of Dean at the races. At the last minute Dean decided he needed more time to familiarize himself with the car. Later in the afternoon, Dean was pulled over for speeding. Already having left the Ford far behind, they stopped for fuel and to meet up with fellow racer Lance Reventlow. Dean was driving west on U.S. Highway 466 (later California State Route 46) near Cholame, California when a 1950 Ford Tudor driven from the opposite direction by 23-year-old Cal Poly student Donald Turnupseed attempted to take the fork onto California State Route 41 and crossed into Dean's lane without seeing him. The two cars hit almost head on. According to a story in the October 1, 2005 edition of the Los Angeles Times, California Highway Patrol officer Ron Nelson and his partner had been finishing a coffee break in Paso Robles when they were called to the scene of the accident, where they saw a heavily-breathing Dean being placed into an ambulance. Wuetherich had been thrown from the car but survived with a broken jaw and other injuries. Dean was taken to Paso Robles War Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 5:59PM. His last known words, uttered right before impact, are said to have been: "That guy's got to stop... He'll see us." Christopher Reeve ble lam etter hesteulykke. On May 27, 1995, Reeve was paralyzed from the neck-down after being thrown from his horse. He had no recollection of the incident. Witnesses said that Buck started the jump over the third fence, and then suddenly stopped. Someone said that a rabbit spooked the horse, and another person claimed that it might have been a shadow. Reeve held on and the bridle, the bit, and the reins were pulled off the horse and tied his hands together. He landed headfirst on the other side of the fence. His helmet prevented any brain damage, but the impact of his 215 pound body hitting the ground shattered his first and second vertebrae. Reeve had not been breathing for three minutes before paramedics arrived. He was taken to the local hospital, and then flown by helicopter to the University of Virginia medical center. Hr. Jenssen Skrevet 30. desember 2006 Del Skrevet 30. desember 2006 Chris Penn dør under mystiske omstendigheter: Klikk for å se/fjerne innholdet nedenfor Penn was found dead in his Santa Monica condominium on January 24, 2006 at the age of 40. Although Penn had used multiple drugs in the past, an autopsy performed by a Los Angeles County Medical Examiner revealed the primary cause of death was "nonspecific cardiomyopathy" (heart disease), with the prescription drug promethazine with codeine and an enlarged heart. Trace amounts of marijuana and cocaine were found in his body. Sean Penn has said that his brother's death was brought on primarily by his weight. [2] There is conflicting information about Chris Penn’s age at the time of death, with some obituaries giving 1962 as his year of birth. His birthdate has been officially substantiated as October 1965, which would mean he was 40. His mother also gives his date of birth as October 10, 1965 in the book Sean Penn: His Life and Times by Richard T. Kelly (2004). Chris Penn is interred in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California. Lenke til kommentar
