Blir spennende å se om Ps3 klarer å holde salgstallene over 15K før at Final Fantasy XIII demoen kommer om en 3-4 uker. Wii fortsetter nok å falle noe, men under 15k tror jeg ikke på ennå. Xbox 360 og ps2 dør nok en stille død ser det ut til. MS har vel ikke noe spesielt til xbox 360 i japan resten av året?

Street Fighter IV imponerer på begge konsollene, men spesielt på PS3. DS og Wii spillene fortsetter å gjøre det bra, egentlig litt trist da jeg bare liker NSMB av dem, og selv det kunne vært så mye mer. Vanskelig å si noe om Killzone 2, da det bare hadde en fredag og lørdag med salg, så er nok lurt å vente på Mars før vi dømmer det.

 

Wii og 360 salget økte mye Year over year, PSP og PS2 faller en god del, og Wii og PS3 holder seg sånn ca. likt.

Ser ut til at PS2 synger på siste verset både i USA og Japan. Holder vel kanskje ut neste år med mindre den får et priskutt eller det skjer noe annet for å holde den i livet ytterligere.

 

Killzone 2-salget er skuffende uansett om det bare er to dager i februar. 323k tilsier at bare 4% av amerikanske PS3-eiere plukket det opp første helgen. Med tanke på hypen burde det solgt minst 500k på dag 1.

 

Ellers er det absolutt ingenting som tyder på at Wii faller i popularitet i USA, men man kan jo stille spørsmål ved hvor lenge Wii Sports, Wii Fit og Mario Kart er nok til å holde salget oppe. Punch-Out!! som kommer i mai er neste potensielle storspill til Wii.

VGChartz contacted SCEA for an official comment following the recent PS3 price drop rumours

 

With all the recent rumours of PS3 price drops, VGChartz contacted SCEA for comment on the matter:

 

"Hi Brett,

 

SCEA has no immediate plans to drop the price of the PS3 system.

 

As you know, NPD sales numbers for February will be announced today and will include Killzone 2 sales the first couple of days at retail. Given that the title launched so late in the month, we'll see the majority of sales in March. Killzone 2 experienced the highest presale numbers of any first party PS3 title to date and we anticipate that it will be a blockbuster for PS3 and the PlayStation brand."

 

So there you go, straight from the horse's mouth there are no PS3 price drops planned for the immediate future. This confirms what we've heard from other sources and VGChartz along with most major analysts expects Sony to announce a two-stage price drop for PS3 this year - $50 around June time and a futher $50 before the holidays. GTA DLC "would have outsold Killzone"

 

Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg has said that Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned is "the most successful game add-on content we've ever launched" on Xbox Live.

 

The exclusive GTAIV expansion, which reviewed well despite a relatively high price point (1600 MSP), "would have outsold Killzone 2" in February if it had been at retail, Greenberg added in an interview with Gamasutra.

 

Rockstar Games has not released any specific sales figures or projections for Lost and Damned to date, but Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter recently said it was likely to sell 2 million copies by the end of 2009. And Microsoft paid up front for its exclusivity, remember.

Elsewhere in his discussion with Gamasutra, Greenberg also puffed out his chest about Xbox 360's February NPD sales figures for the US, which point to a year-on-year increase of over 50 per cent in hardware sales, and once again said that the PS3 business was "declining, it's been described to me as hemorrhaging at retail right now, and it just keeps getting worse".

Sikkert noen PS2 eiere som har valgt 360, men jeg tror det er flere som har valgt Wii. Iallefall casual markedet.

Men det virker som om både Sony og MS har avskrevet Nintendo som konkurrent, siden ingen prater om dem mer.

Helt greie NPD tall av Sony, men hadde håpet på mer. SFIV salget var imponerende, hvorfor solgte det nesten like bra på en plattform som har halvparten så mange konsoller ute i Usa som MS har. Merkelig.

Imponerende salgstall av xbox 360 synes jeg.
