The life before death.

The tale of Viccky

Viccky's life began 17 years before the fall of Lordaeron. She was the daughter of a quite succsessful politician in the capital of Lordaeron.

Her grandfather was a mage of the Kirin Tor, she herself had the blood of a sorcerer and quickly gained interest for her grandfathers work. Although her father wanted her to be a succsessful politician, she found it to be a rather dull task.

Not all was well within the Kirin Tor. Her grandfather and a group of other wizards had discovered that one of the adept wizards had been performing necromancy in the basements of Dalaran. His name was Kel'Thuzad. The group of wizards set up magical enchantments in Kel'Thuzads basement to show the Kirin Tor what he was doing. As a result of this, Kel'Thuzad was banished from the Kirin Tor, forever to wander the frozen wastes of Northrend until his day of death.

The Kirin Tor would reward the band of wizards for this, but at the time of the ceremony, the small group had mysteriously dissappeared.

At this time, Viccky was a 15 year old girl. When her father dicovered her grandfather was missing, he and her mother made up a story to scare Viccky away from the path of the arcane. They told her that her grandfather had turned to the dark arts and therefor had been executed, a lie they both knew was far from the truth.

Viccky however, did not believe that her grandfather would do such a thing. She began to search in librarys and in her grandfathers office inside the Kirin Tor. What truth she found shocked her. It appeared that her grandfather had left her a message right before he had dissappared. What she could read from her grandfathers last words was that he had been trapped inside his office in darkness, unable to find a way out. The necromancer kel'thuzad had on several occasions left messages for him in runes, apprently the same thing happened to the others wizards assisting in Kel'Thuzad’s capture.

His last message held the words:

"Might be that I shall forever be trapped in darkness, but you my beloved Vic, shall know that the path to light is sometimes a dark one"

This note was attached to a book named "Demonology and the Art of Shadows"

Viccky grabbed the book and ran scared home. There she started to read and learn from the book. She quickly discovered that it held the art of how to control demons and how to conjure the darkest of shadows to use as an assistance. She was a quick learner and at the age of 17, she was already quite a skilled shadowmage, also called Warlock within the Kirin Tor.

It was late at night, Viccky woke up from a terrible scream, it was her father screaming from outside in the garden. She lit a candle and gazed out the window of her room. What she saw shocked her. Brill was being overrun by foul creatures. Appearing human, but looking as if they were rotting away alive. There were people running in every direction, houses was burning and the towns alarm-bell was ringing. She hid beneath her desk, holding her grandfathers book close to her chest while the foul ghouls ripped people apart outside her window. She was too frightened to do anything, she just sat there and didnt even breathe.

Suddenly the door slammed open and the ghouls came rumbling into the house, they quickly caught the smell of her and her family and she watched her mother and two brothers get thorn to shreds in front of her eyes.

She quickly got up, suddenly filled with courage, she shouted at the ghouls to come and get her while her hands sparkled with black clouds. The ghouls ran towards her now, screaming and waving their huge claws at her, but she jumped to the right as the first ghoul came crashing into the wall right next to her with terrible force, she could hear the crush of bones. She got up and lauched a powerful bolt of dark magic at it.

The ghoul fell on the floor, moaning in pain, before finally imploding in a gory rain of black blood.

She let out a tiny smile and gazed upon the pile of bone lying before her.

Then suddenly she felt the taste of blood in her mouth and an immense pain from her chest. She looked down and discovered another ghoul had just pierced her chest with a giant claw.

She could hear the ghould breathe heavily and make some gurgling sounds.

Then everything turned black.

She jumped up into a sitting position, discovered she had been lying face down in the mud.

She looked around, but all she could see was the endless cemetarys of Brill.

As she gasped for air, she discovered that the refreshing feeling of drawing breath was gone, she was dead. She looked at her hands and saw her skin were in a light blue color instead of the usual peach-color that she was used to.

She sat there in shock, but felt no fear.

A slim man in light platearmor and a broadsword came walking upr to her and told her how glad he was that she made it through death.

She stood up, turned around and looked into his faintly yellow glowing eyes, then asked him if she were one of the scourge now.

He replied in a calm voice and told her they were not a part of the scourge, but they had been turned into undead by the plague.

“Lady Sylvanas freed you herself” he said. She is rallying those most worthy to fight against the Scourge.. And our freedom. Seems like you proved yourself worthy by studying your grandfathers books.

“You knew my grandfather!?”, she shouted.

“I did at one time, I worked as a bodyguard for the wizards of Dalaran, but I was a covard and a fool to flee when the Scourge launched their invasion.”

He streched out his hand for her, making a gesture to tell her to follow him..

“I know what you are thinking, you wonder where the book from your grandfather is.. Dont worry, we have Warlocks here with a lot more capability to teach you the dark arts that what you could ever have learned from that book”.

As they walked through the cemetary towards Brill, he told her about the pact Lady Sylvanas had made with Warchief Thrall, the alliance known as The Horde wich they now were a part of.

“As the newest members of the horde, we will strike back at the Scourge. We have established a stronghold beneath the ruins of Lordaerons former capital.”

Viccky suddenly felt as if her grandfather had know all the time, he had left her the book because he wanted Viccky to be ressurected as an undead of the Forsaken, and from there on battle the forces of the ruthless Scourge.

And from that day on, she was a Warlock of the Forsaken, serving the lady of the Undercity, she was determined to stop the Scourge and to find a clue about what happened to her grandfather.

joda..riktig bra skrevet.

And from that day on, she was a Warlock of the Forsaken, serving the lady of the Undercity, she was determined to stop the Scourge. But first, she needed a bit more training as a warlock.

ok..på samme måte som alle andre undead warlocks. Men ok:)
