Just came back from Ree (dumping some trash there), and while I was there, I actually found a laptop. Granted it's old (designed for win 98), it stills works. Now I just gotta burn a Linux distro and see if it wants to boot that.

Sounds great. What linux distro did you choose? I'm hanging more and more at my linux box.

And since I wrecked my Xp disk with heavy hacking into disk-geometry, I think there is a long time to go before I sit down and start building up Xp again. Using Linux is just too damn fun.

I haven't been using windows for a little over a year now. I just couldn't take it anymore, the fucking problems, drivers, crashes, BSOD's - it's just too much. And I'll tell you another thing, Im gonna stay clear of Vista, thats for damn sure.

 

On my main desktop, I use the latest ubuntu release, but I think im gonna go for xUbuntu on the laptop, seing as it's so old.

 

Anyway, I'll let you guys now how things progress.

Actually, there are few or no sign so far that I'm ever going to return to XP on this machine. Now that Wma, mp3, avi, divx, xvid, streaming, NRK, Youtube, Firefox, Flash, DVD ripping, CSS DVD's, and much more are working flawlessly, Why should I?

I got exactly 1000 NOK from my birthday now, and I ordered a Lian Li case which I got from my parents. I am either saving the money for a complete Barcelona chipset to replace my 939, or the new fanless PSU that is on the HW.no frontpage right now. I turned 16 today.

Ah I'm fine, it's just another age.

 

I just uninstalled my motherboard, I'm going to ship it in to the store tomorrow. I've avoided doing it the past week but today it's shipping in. So much trouble for a 375kr motherboard, the shipping to me, back to them and back to me surely costs more than the actual value of the motherboard.

 

Vacation in two days, we go to school at 9 these days. I wonder what I get on my final English examination, the paper one. I surely have to get the damn paper some day now, the final examination was many weeks ago now.

Mmm... Last day at school today. Tomorrow at 18:00 I get my diploma (vitnemål) and then I am done. Starting at (elektro) next year.
