Why don't we have a thread like this in German?

I need to practice my German too

Make one.. I attended german-calss for 3 years straight. Hardly know a thing. I'm good with handgestures, though

 

Me: "Sprechen sie Deutch?"

Other person: "Ja."

Me: "OK."

Well... I had 5 years of german, and I'm pretty much exactly where you are. Never even got a hold of the whole kasus-part.

 

- Book of Eli. Has a very unique feel to it, and has a great ending.

The Book of Eli had a very Fallout 3-like atmosphere. It really seems like they took a great deal of inspiration from that game, which was pretty nifty. As for the plot.. Meehh. Wasn't too fond of the massive insane amounts of christian propaganda that got pushed into it. The movie is very entertaining in itself, but again, the plot kinda ruined it for me. :/

Screams? Odd choice of word. I believe roosters do something called "crowing", and not screaming.

 

And I don't get up at the break of dawn, but more like 7 AM.

7 AM is too early, at least if I don't have early work to take care of. Around noon is a perfect time for me, or after that, though I was up at 11.30 AM today so I'm getting at least somewhat better

 

As for what the rooster is doing, you're quite right Slimda, if you search up "crow" on Wiktionary the third definition is the cry of the rooster

 

Though the rooster might be screaming the few seconds before he becomes the night's dinner...

When I don't have work to do, I usually get up around 10 to 12 o'clock. ANything later wastes the day, and anything earlier makes me drowsy.

Somehow, I managed to wake up around 7-8 this morning. I usually sleep until 10-12, so it came as a bit of a surprise to wake up that early, seeing as I didn't get to bed before 1-2 AM. I'm guessing my biological clock is resetting me back to my old routines. I managed to drag myself downtown to get a haircut, so at least something productive came out of the day.

We only get a minor increase in pay when we're available 24/7 for a whole week. Ah well.

I won't go into details about our pays and such, as I don't mind the amount we get.

Nevertheless, being woken in the middle of the night due to a problem caused by the inability of some people to spend money is rather annoying. (Oh no, that thing will last much longer, honest, there's no need to buy any replacements...)
