The Doctor Skrevet 12. august 2010 Del Skrevet 12. august 2010 I still stand on 28 Days Later. Just figured I should mention that Danny Boyle has directed the movie, fabolous director! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBZnuUZIbBQ Lenke til kommentar

2ball_ Skrevet 12. august 2010 Del Skrevet 12. august 2010 Taking "2012" as a realistic post apocalyptic film would be the same as taking "Zombieland" as one, I mean, what do you expect? "Zombieland" happens to be one of the dam funniest films I've seen, the whole Bill Murry sequence? Hilarious Sure, but at least zombieland intended to make me laugh. I just think they took unrealistic a bit too far this time. I just was't able to overlook it. Belive me, I tried Lenke til kommentar
Bear^ Skrevet 12. august 2010 Del Skrevet 12. august 2010 Hehe, I understand what you're talking about, sometimes things are made so unrealistic that you can't ignore it. Sure it's impossible to do what Batman does, but that's Batman, and his character makes it possible. So yeah, I can kind of agree on that one. Then again, I have always managed to watch a film as what it's intended as. 2012 is a film I see as just another popcorn flick, nothing else. Improbable as it is, I still manage to see it. As for 28 Days later, yeah, it was a good film. The 28 weeks later wasn't that bad for a sequel (Carlyle is a very good actor) but now I see they're trying to make a 28 months later and now it's enough. What will come after, 28 years later? 28 decades later? And what after that. 28 decades and 28 weeks later? Sequels need to know when to stop in my opinion and when enough is enough, especially such type of films, I mean, how much more can they take out of that scenario and build on? Lenke til kommentar

I see your point, but still, being the fanatic I am, I just can't complain. I'll take any serious zombiemovie where I can get it. Lenke til kommentar

The Doctor Skrevet 12. august 2010 Del Skrevet 12. august 2010 It's horrible to watch people spell wrong in English, especially "your" and "you're". As for sequels; I'm up for more of 28 Days/Weeks/Months/Years Later. And if Cillian Murphy or Carlyle is playing in one of those I am definitely going to watch it Lenke til kommentar

2ball_ Skrevet 12. august 2010 Del Skrevet 12. august 2010 (endret) "You're" is short for "You are". I'm getting confused.. I constantly have to shift my thinking form english to norwegian to english o.o Edit: I memorised this a long time ago. I > am = I'm You > Are = you're He She > Is = He's, She's, It's It You > Are = you're They > Are = They're(?) We > Are = We're You might know this for all I know. ScudNor Skrevet 12. august 2010 Del Skrevet 12. august 2010 What's your peoples favorite post apocalyptic / apocalyptic movie/movies? Well, there are loads that are atleast half-decent, but my few favourites have got to be: -28 Days later. Epic. Just epic. -War of the worlds w/ Tom Cruise. Really great when I watched it in the theathre. -Children of Men. Might not be your cup of tea, but I liked it. - Book of Eli. Has a very unique feel to it, and has a great ending. - The Road. Very dark movie. Almost depressing. But it did manage to entertain me somehow Lenke til kommentar

As for sequels; I'm up for more of 28 Days/Weeks/Months/Years Later. And if Cillian Murphy or Carlyle is playing in one of those I am definitely going to watch it It won't work as Carlyle is somewhat disposed of in 28 weeks later Cillian is a brilliant actor, at least he did a perfectly good job in "The Dark knight" and "Batman begins". I'm however not for the whole recycle the actors into later sequels simply because of that, I at least require that the films are connected with each other somewhat and in these type of films I think they're a bit too different to work. As for this whole debate of grammar and all. I've never been any good in grammar, and I've never been any good at explaining it. I just write the way it feels right, though, at times I have to stop and think a bit, especially if it's a sentence that's a bit tricky and both solutions sound correct. I'm trying to learn the English grammar a bit better but as I'm horrible in Norwegian grammar as well I'm coming up somewhat short on that side. I feel however that my English is at least stretching to "It works" level Lenke til kommentar
