Why is not drinking coffee absurd? I look at it as quite natural. My body doesn't need extra input to survive a regular workday. I survive long enough on a healthy body with lots of fruit.

Not drinking coffee is absurd?! That's crazy talk. I could live forever without drinking coffee. I drink Tine Iskaffe instead of coffee. About six of them every day. Much better and healthier than coffee. Coffee is hot.

Depending on your work, for me at least coffee is free all day long. And that's bad, I can drink a heap of that black thing during a normal 8 hour day.

 

Though, I never say no thanks to a cup of nice black coffee.

How do nordmenn deal with the adjective "shy" when it is used to modify a measurement? Example:

"He's a few inches shy of six feet."

"The javelin fell well shy of the leader's."

"He's a few kegs shy of a six-pack." (The person is outright crazy, or unbelievably stupid.)
