Getingar Skrevet 1. mars 2010 Del Skrevet 1. mars 2010 Ah, I only have an Optoma HD200x projector, 1 LG 32" screen, 1 Samsung 40" screen, a X360, a PS3, a Wii, a PS2 and a blu-ray player. Hm, the worst part is that I feel I'm constantly broke but I see now that I have too many things, too many... Is there a good word for "Duppeditt" in English? Eit tilsvarande ord på engelsk er «thingummy», som kan bli til «thingamabob» eller «thingamajig». Perhaps? Lenke til kommentar
Bear^ Skrevet 1. mars 2010 Del Skrevet 1. mars 2010 Hm, yes, gadget might work for that purpose. Thingummy is used when you don't remember the name of something Lenke til kommentar
Slimda Skrevet 1. mars 2010 Del Skrevet 1. mars 2010 I'm a big fan of "Thingamajig". Lenke til kommentar
Gjest Slettet+12348972834 Skrevet 2. mars 2010 Del Skrevet 2. mars 2010 I would definitely use "thingamajig". Or possibly "thingamabob", although I prefer the former Lenke til kommentar
DyrtDyr Skrevet 2. mars 2010 Del Skrevet 2. mars 2010 "Thingy" or "thingymajig" really You've also got some weird obscure ones like "doodad" and "doohickey". Oh and "whatchamacallit" is heaps used too. Lenke til kommentar
Slimda Skrevet 2. mars 2010 Del Skrevet 2. mars 2010 Doodad is actually a term used in computer games. Doodads are various random objects placed on the game world. This could be doors, plants, rocks, etc. In World of Warcraft, I myself have seen two objects named something like "doodad", which shows that they didn't hide it properly. Lenke til kommentar

Yeah that stems from the word's use as an everyday word for something that you either cant remember the name of, or that really doesn't have one (like for something that you just invented or created mad scientist style) Oh and hey, what's the best Norwegian/Scandinavian beer?! Slimda Skrevet 3. mars 2010 Del Skrevet 3. mars 2010 (endret) Isn't the english word for "snus" snuff? *edit* Seems "snus" is a wet-tabacco variant of snuff, which is a try-tobacco thingy. Endret 3. mars 2010 av Slimda Lenke til kommentar
Aleks Skrevet 3. mars 2010 Del Skrevet 3. mars 2010 Snuff is something you inhale trough your nose or a type of dip that goes in the lower lip instead of the upper one Lenke til kommentar
Bear^ Skrevet 4. mars 2010 Del Skrevet 4. mars 2010 If you search in the dictionary though for "Snus" you get snuff. But if you search for Snuff you get the dry tobacco result. However it does mention "snus" as Moist Snuff which makes a little more sense. Lenke til kommentar
