Yeah, I think we all need a place to sharpen our English skills, I know I do. Even if it's just to keep the English language close to you.

I need a place to sharpen my Norwegian skills now. I'm writing in English, I'm talking a lot in English and I'm reading a lot of English.

It's so bad now that I dream in English and speak with myself in English. Sometimes at work I caught myself muttering curses under my breath, in English. And sometimes when people ask me things in Norwegian I have to have them say it again because I can't understand what they're saying.

The strange part however is that I don't mind that my native language slowly becomes my secondary.

I have the same "problem". Althouhg not as severe as you. I wright far to little english so my spelling is a bit off at times(alle the time). But I do cornverse and read a lot in english and I often find my selv struggelign to find the correct words in norwegian.

I'd be happy if somone would point out mistakes in this post. Want to see how it turns out without putting any thought into grammar.

Edit: Post #2900 :)

PS: Does anyone know where I can find statistics for mye own profile? Besides the ones on my profile page ofc.

I'm not a grammar God myself, in fact I'm as grammatically colour blind as you can get it.

However, I saw a couple of mistakes, English and Norwegian with a capital letter, if I'm not mistaken, which I might be for all I know :)

And good to see that we have the name as it should be :fun:

In other news:

I think I'm about to be possessed by a film, just came out of my 5th time watching "Avatar", don't know why, but I find so much rest and relaxation when I watch that film. It does also help that the last 2 times I haven't had to pay anything to enter. Nothing like a relaxing film free of charge after 8 hours on the mill :)

Edit:

Away you dam error.

Most of them seemed more like typos than real grammar mistakes, though.

Bear: It's worth the ticket then? I haven't watched it yet, I'm afraid. Everyone else has, so I'll probably have to go see it with my sister or something.

Edit: Maybe I should consider using fewer apostrophes.

I think so, obviously since I've used some money on it already :)

Only seen it once in 3D though, we don't have a digital cinema here just yet so when I was in Bodø visiting my sister for the weekend I took a quick stop to see it in 3D. In my opinion it should be seen in 3D if possible, but it's equally good in 2D if you have no other options.

But that just my opinion, the best thing is actually go to a screening and see for yourself. Never let anyone tell you what to think, make up your own mind :)

I just removed most of the erroneous corrections that had been made. "too", for example, is entirely correct.

"Too much to do"

Good morning, everybody!

First of all, congratulations to the people who voted for "Ye Olde Pub". I bet you're all very happy now. I know I am. We have recess now, so I'm just sitting in the hall with my laptop, reading forums and generally just geeking around. I think I have a test in natural history today (goes to show you how prepared I am). Not looking forward to it.

I've actually considered that, but right now I have a pretty good job nontheless, and I doubt I'll lose it anytime soon. Besides, being 23 kinda omits part of the girls there. According to mathematics, my lowest allowed age amongst girls is 18.5 years. (age/2+7) :p

I have been to watch a 3d movie once. It was about the flying robot Max. It is quite an experience to watch objects fly out from the screen into the movie theater. Although, you can notice that they focus more on the visuals than the story itself. It might be the same with Avatar

Personally, I found the story in Avatar quite interesting and engaging, even if it was similar to a certain american-indian story. The 3D-part of the movie just enhanced the visual experience and made it easier to fall into the fantasy-world of Pandora.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience, one that I would gladly see multiple times.

Pardon? Which erroneous corrections?

(I should have spotted "alle the time", though. :p)

Edit: Ah, I did miscorrect (is that a word?) "although". A "l" too much.
