What I love about those stories are the complexity of the characters, each and every one of them feel unique and different from the others. I don't feel any characters are alike, not even the opposing side.

 

I hope they one day perhaps will make a movie of the books, I think they would've been great on the silver screen.

I prefer books. Or music. Ayreon's music is a story in itself, of quite a large depth.

Would be possible as long as they manage to stretch the 2 hour limitation that Hollywood has as a standard on how long a movie can be. They bend it all the time however but then they have to be sure that the extra minutes are worth it, like they did with Lord of the Rings who in the first place was suppose to be only 1 movie when it was pitched.

I can stand a few types of anime, per example "The legend of Zelda" which is in an anime style. But in general I don't like that style very much.

Considering that most of my anime-series consist of humorous ones, I can't really imagine Garion in anime-style.

Ah! I love the state-of-mind I enter when reading a new book! No sleep, no food, no rest, only reading, all night long.

When the fifth Harry Potter book was released, I bought the book, went to our hammock and laid myself down to read.

8 hours later, I laid the book down, having finished reading it.

 

It was one epic read.

Now, I just read on the way to and from work.

Magician.. Best book ever.. The entire series -The Riftwar Saga- is on hell of an experience..

I still have clear images of places, things and people from the book. Thinking of reading them again..

I like a good variety of anime and I'm not that picky. There are just a few things I hate:

- Giant robots

- Big heads

- Kids (id est, characters under 20 years of age)

- Dragonball Z / Naruto / Hunter X Hunter etc. Pointless anime in my opinion.

- Comedy. Bleh.

 

Ergo Proxy was okay; a definite thinker. They took a long time to tell the tale, though. I'm partial to anime that uses the brain. Also where the demise of humanity is assured. And sci-fi.

 

As for books, that is more haphazard. I just finished Sewer, Gas, And Electric by Matt Ruff. About to start on the Great Book of Amber (Amber Chronicles) by Roger Zelazny. Only read the first book in the series so far.

What's with the inundation of all these crappy 4870x2 cards lately? Gross. Toss those things in a closet and forget they exist instead of trying to foist them off on others.

 

PS, the 5850 and 5870 are not miraculous leaps in technology. Hell, they barely inch beyond the performance of a 285. No idea why people are in a hurry to buy one; should wait until ATI pushes the Hemlock or something better out the door. Or nVidia, which is going to "pwn" these little ATI cards come Xmas.

I didn't read all of it, but from what I read, and what I know about Gamer.no it's a good article. I have to say I don't visit the site as often as I would like though.

"Necropath" and "Orgiginal Sin".
