Ny bok om Mourinho som snart kommer hvor forskjellige personer beskriver Mourinho. Foretrekker det foran Madridjournalistene sine bøker. Her er noen utdrag:

ALEX FERGUSON (former Manchester United manager, below) I look at Jose and I identify with many of his attitudes.

When I saw him launching into those sprints by the touchline I was reminded of my early days in Aberdeen, jumping, punching the air, celebrating. Its only human! You cant hide your emotions. Theyre always there, theyre part of you, of your character.

And you cant change your character just because the context is a football match.

On the contrary usually, peoples character emerges in spontaneous situations. So everything Jose did, even if we didnt appreciate it, were his emotions, not a form of provocation.

PETER KENYON (ex-Chelsea chief exec) He arrived and right in the first season he dynamited the dominance of two Goliaths (Man United and Arsenal) of the league that many people believe to be the best of the world. He got here and changed that dominance for ever. Thats fantastic.

RUI FARI (Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid) Science brought us cloning, but cloning him is impossible, because beyond the biological factors, theres experience and recognition, built over time, which allow him to be different, impossible to be copied. JORGE COSTA (Porto captain) What I would really like to be able to justify is the willingness the players have, and that I also had, to follow him to the death.

MARCO MATERAZZI (Inter Milan) He shows hes willing to die for us, just like a father or an older brother does. And when I say us, I mean not only the players who play regularly, but also those who arent on the XI, as was my case: a substitute. He was the leader of a family that was always ready to face everything and everyone.

JOHN TERRY (Chelsea captain) Everyone in Chelsea, and not just the players but all the staff, have Jose in their hearts.

PAULO FERREIRA (Porto & Chelsea) I remember perfectly the time when I lost my father, I was playing for Porto and Mourinho said: Paulo, you go and come back only when youre up to it. Stay as long as you need with your family. Most people dont know this side of Mourinho. Hes always with the players, he helps us in any way we need and we know we have to give back everything he does for us.

JERZY DUDEK (Real Madrid) Mourinho is spectacular. Not many know this but he can be your father, your older brother, your teacher and thats important to a player.

DEJAN STANKOVIC: (Inter Milan) When we won the first championship, three rounds from the end, he came to me and said: Take your wife and go to Dubai for a week, you dont need to come in to train. Youve worked so hard for me and for the team that you deserve seven days rest. His gesture touched me.

WESLEY SNEIJDER (Inter Milan) I always said Mourinho has a special place in my heart and my career. And it all began with a phrase: You play tomorrow, I trust you.

CRISTIANO RONALDO (Real Madrid) He studies his opponents better than the other coaches. He knows the weak and the strong points of all the players and of all the teams. Obviously that shows on the pitch. His players turn up with the clear notion that they know their opponent.

COSTINHA (Scored for Porto at Old Trafford to set Jose running down the touchline) Whether or not he has a crystal ball, I dont know. What I do know is that he communicates with you so deeply and so convincingly that you want to react.

FRANK LAMPARD (Chelsea) The most important thing he did for me was to give me a new character and make me believe in myself. The moment we started working, my career took a new turn.

BERND SCHUSTER (ex-Real Madrid) I compare Mourinho to John McEnroe, who needed to become irritated to play better.

DIDIER DROGBA (Chelsea) He loves winning. Most coaches get to a club and say: Im going to try and win, its going to be hard... He says: Im here to win, and he wins. That makes him special.

MANICHE (Porto and Chelsea) He likes to participate in everything. Hes groundsman, chauffeur, security... he likes to control everything in minute detail.

DECO (Porto) Despite being No 1 in the world, he continues to work more than the others.

JAVIER ZANETTI (Inter Milan) For 15 years I had been waiting for for the privilege of raising the Champions Cup as captain. Amid the celebrations we exchanged heartfelt words, then hugged and cried because wed become good friends. I already knew he was going to Madrid.

MESUT OZIL (Real Madrid) You hired me, you taught me a lot and fully trusted me. I want to thank you from the heart and wish you the best of luck.

XABI ALONSO (Real Madrid) Mourinho is a good communicator and, more importantly, hes someone who doesnt cower. He knows which quick decisions he has to make to change the result of a match.

ALVARO ARBELOA (Real Madrid) I like people like him, outspoken, who say things to your face.

KARIM BENZEMA (Real Madrid) Mourinho worked a lot with me on the mental factor of my game. Now Im stronger in this respect.

SAMI KHEDIRA (Real Madrid) Mourinho made me a strategist.
