Pluck the Piranha Flower

 

For this star, you will have to drop off on Tiny Island. On the starting

ledge, you will find a very tiny Goomba. Don't worry about him hurting

you! If he bumps into you, he will just disappear into thin air. But that

would also render his coin uncollectible. So, it is best to jump up as

he approaches and land on top of his head. He will be flattened, and a

coin that is very large compared to him will pop out! This is crazy, I

tell ya! Now, turn left and jump onto the next ledge. Swim there as you

like. There is a Red Cap here, but you do not need to turn into Mario yet.

There is also a tree with a coin on top. There is nothing in that tree.

 

So, jump onto the next ledge. There is a tiny Piranha Plant. However, he

does spew a very large flame, and that is enough to light you up. Just

stomp on him to defeat him. You will get another coin for your troubles.

To the right of the pipe is a switch that when pressed, will cause a large

bridge to appear. However, the bridge seems to lead to a remote island

with only a coin on it. Ignore this bridge to nowhere and jump into the

pipe. It is a shrinker pipe.

 

When Luigi comes out, you will find that everything is much larger than

Luigi. That is right, you are on Huge Island. Run around on this giant

ledge you are on and an extremely large Piranha Plant will pop out. He

just spews even more flame. Dive tackle into him to get rid of him. It

seems that the flame deals as much damage as the ones spat out by the small

piranha plants. Walk around the ledge, and even more Piranha Plants will

pop out. I suggest that you take it slow, so that you can face only 1 Piranha

Plant at a time. There are a total of 5 Giant Piranha Plants on this ledge.

Each will reward Luigi with 2 coins. The last one will cough up a Power

Star when he dies. Don't worry, is also on the same ledge you are on, no

need to get back to Tiny Island to get it.
