EA ANNOUNCES COMMAND & CONQUER 3 TIBERIUM WARS

The Genre Defining Series is Back!

 

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 20, 2006 - The epic struggle between the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and The Brotherhood of NOD continues…and the third Tiberium War is about to begin. Welcome back, Commander. Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced that Command & Conquer™, the groundbreaking series that put the Real-time Strategy (RTS) genre on the map, is returning in full force with Command & Conquer™ 3 Tiberium Wars*. This highly-anticipated next chapter takes the popular series back to its roots in the Tiberium universe and features the fast, fluid gameplay that Command & Conquer is known for and a gripping story that will redefine storytelling in RTS games.

 

It is 2047 and the stakes could not be higher. Tiberium-a self-replicating alien substance that has infected the Earth-is spreading like a radioactive ice age. The GDI, a high-tech alliance of the world's most advanced nations, is fighting to contain Tiberium, but Kane, the megalomaniacal leader of The Brotherhood of NOD has other plans for Earth. Kane's secret society turned superpower is bent on using Tiberium to take control and transform humanity into his twisted vision of the future. All-out war rages over Tiberium and the fate of the planet rests in the balance.

Har venta lenge på ein skikkeleg oppfølgar til RA2:YR i C&C-serien, ikkje ein oppfølgar i den forstand, med det universet, men eit spel som tar C&C tilbake til røttene, noko Generals ikkje klarte.

 

Det er mykje ein kan håpe på når det gjeld dette spelet, men einaste eg fokuserer på er denne uttalelsen:

Med dette vil eg ha sidebar, god oversikt, det er etter min meining fullstendig unødvendig å kunne vinkle kameraet heilt ned til 30-40 grader ut frå landskapet, poenget er å ha oversikt og kontroll, noko du får med ein god vinkel og høg oppløysing. Prefabrikerte bygningar verkar kanskje litt gammalt, men alle spela i C&C-serien fram til Generals hadde denne funksjonen, og derfor vil eg at C&C3 får den.

 

Grafikkmotoren må kunne takle store antal enheter utan å gå i sirup, ta RA2 som eit godt eksempel på ein dårleg motor, det går fortare jo færre enheter du har og seinare jo fleire, spesielt over nettverk var RA2 ein skuffelse.

Hvis du kun har erfaring med RA2/YR så anbefaler jeg å hoppe tilbake til 1995 og teste Command & Conquer, samt oppfølgeren. Dette blir en direkte oppfølger til disse to spillene. Gleder seg!

Hvis du kun har erfaring med RA2/YR så anbefaler jeg å hoppe tilbake til 1995 og teste Command & Conquer, samt oppfølgeren.  Dette blir en direkte oppfølger til disse to spillene.  Gleder seg!

Har spelt alle spela i C&C-serien, har First Decade og. Er klar over at det blir oppfølgar til Tiberian Sun, men RA2 er det siste spelet i C&C-serien som har hatt den originale innpakningen og den er stort sett lik som alle spela frå C&C til RA2.
