Se Party Down da, lagd av Rob Thomas som også lagde Veronica Mars. Mange fra Veronica Mars derfra(blant annet Kristin Bell også).

 

Party Down has many connections with Rob Thomas' previous series, Veronica Mars. Besides Thomas himself, John Enbom was a writer, Dan Etheridge was a producer/director, and Paul Rudd made a guest appearance. Both Jennifer Gwartz and Danielle Stokdyk served as co-executive producers for Veronica Mars.

 

Series regulars Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Jane Lynch and Ryan Hansen also appeared on Veronica Mars. Both Scott and Lynch had guest appearances, while Marino had a recurring role and Hansen was a series regular. Other Veronica Mars cast members that have guest starred on Party Down include Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Alona Tal, Ed Begley, Jr., Daran Norris, Ryan Devlin, Martin Yu, Michael Kostroff, Steve Guttenberg and Joey Lauren Adams. Bell, Colantoni, and Dohring were series regulars, while the others had recurring roles, with the exception of Adams who was a guest star.

Kjipern med serier som ikke får en ordentlig slutt! Har sett alle 3 sesongene nå pluss piloten av sesong 4 som ligger blandt annet på youtube... Er snakk om VM film så håper på det, vil ha en ordentlig slutt! Så 5 sesonger av Las Vegas også endte serien med 3-4 seriøst svære cliffhangers... håper ikke VM ender på samme måte!

Blir mindre og mindre sannsynlig at det blir en Veronica Mars film

 

Kristen Bell blir eldre og produsentene tror ikke filmen vil tjene tilbake nok penger.

A proposed Veronica Mars has a lot of creative potential, but it has really never been financially viable for Warner Bros. While Mars producer Joel Silver would love to make it happen, he elaborated

 

“We analyzed all these areas about it. I talked to the home video people, because a movie like that would be driven by video. The [season DVDs] didn’t do that well… So they didn’t feel there was a need or an audience.”

 

The show averaged 2-3 million viewers per episode in its three-year run on Upn and The CW. Indeed, that doesn’t seem like much of a fan base to tap into, though I’d like to think that Kristen Bell as a noirish detective has some marketability independent of brand recognition. The nail is in the coffin at Warner Bros., but creator Rob Thomas continues to pursue the feature adaptation, so there may yet be hope elsewhere. »
