råd/hjelp for å resette cisco 801 isdn ruter

Er praktikant i en databedrift og skal gjøre dette. Men kommer ikke inn på ruteren fordi man ikke har passordet. Finnes det noen enkel måte å gjøre dette på?

Har leita rundt på internet men de i bedriften som har prøvd dette før, har ikke fått det til.

 

Ruter er en model cisco 801

FCC Part 68 ID

5B1USA-40030-XD-N

 

Har sendt mail til Datametrix som er gullpartner for cisco, men har ikke fått svar enda.

 

Så jeg håper det er noen geeks som kan med denne der ute...

STEP 2 ~ Clearing/Creating a Password

 

If you have purchased a second-hand Cisco 803/801 Router, you may not know it's IOS version, IP address or password. In this case, a connection to the Router will have to be made through the "Console" port on the Router and the "Com1" (Serial) port on your PC.

 

At this stage, no software, other than Windows HyperTerminal is needed. Once the "Console Cable" is plugged-in, and HyperTerminal is opened, a new connection can be made using the following settings:

Port: Com1

BPS: 9600

Flow Control: None

Hit "OK" and turn the Router on, watch it boot and determined the IOS version from the following lines:

 

Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software

IOS C800 Software (YOUR IOS FILE), (YOUR IOS VERSION), RELEASE SOFTWARE....

 

Then hit "Enter" to determine the Routers name by reading the command prompt!

(In our case, it was called "ROUTER")

 

Write down the IOS version and Router name, then turn the Router Off & On again, this time pressing "ESC" before the the Post completes.

 

Once the "boot#" prompt is blinking, type the following to remove/reset the password:

 

Type:

Set

Hit "enter" & write down the = value next to "set ios-conf =..." (in our case it was "0x2012")

then type:

set ios-conf=142

Hit "enter" & Type:

boot

Hit "enter" & answer "no" to each setup question, then type:

enable

Hit "enter" & type:

config term

Hit "enter" & type:

enable secret <your new password here>

Hit "enter" & type:

config-register <the = value you wrote down earlier>

Hit "enter" & then "CTRL-Z" to leave the configuration mode & type:

copy running startup

Hit "enter" & Finally Type:

Reload

Hit "enter" to reboot!

 

Remember your Password & save the HyperTerminal connection!
