Problemstilling: Hvem og hvorfor kjempet for de svartes rettigheter?

 

Who was Malcolm X?

Malcolm X was the one who fought for the blacks after Martin L. King died.

The difference between them was that Malcolm was for violence against the white people. But to know why we need to go back early in Malcolm’s life.

 

Malcolm X was born in 1925 in Omaha in the state of Nebraska. The family was very poor. He was also the smartest kid in the class, were most of the kids was white. He was told that a “nigger” never could be anything else than a carpenter. After he moved to Boston he started he’s life as a criminal. He operated as a drug dealer, street prostitute, liquor smuggler, pimp and robber. He was caught and sentenced to ten years in prison. In the trial the jury was white and it did not make things better that he had a relationship whit a white girl.

 

The third year he was in prison, he went through “Satan”, as he was called, a complete change and joined the American organisation Nation of Islam.

 

What he fought for

Malcolm X was the one who fought for the blacks after Martin L. King.

It started when he was in prison and joined the organisation Nation of Islam.

After he was out of the prison he became the force that drove Nation of Islam, as he built up the powerful black movement in the United States of America. He distributed messages about hate and racism and how the white was devils and the blacks were Gods.
