Written, recorded and produced by Acle Kahney, TesseracT began in May 2003. Created entirely in a bedroom in England after having passed through many phases, it aims to convey different moods using unique and original methods. It captures melodic, tense ambience mixed with grinding polymetric rhythms.

 

TesseracT began life as an instrumental solo project - to which it still is. However, the addition of other musicians from Milton Keynes (England), France, Germany and Holland opened up new doors for the music. While the music is created in England, Julien will be laying down vocals in France. March 2005 saw the first TesseracT jam with drummer Stef Broks (drummer of the Dutch metal band Textures) and Phil Vermehren on bass.

 

The album is still being recorded and once finished, attention will be focused on getting TesseracT live.

Musical inspirations come from artists such as Meshuggah, Textures, Pink Floyd, Martin Grech, Sol Niger, The Doors, Pearl Jam, Miles Davis, Led Zeppelin...
