Manchester United

Old Game

Anbefalte innlegg

-

Våre fem neste ligakamper:

Brighton (H)

Sheffield United (B)

Aston Villa (H)

Tottenham (H)

Manchester City (B)

De to førstnevnte lagene ligger over oss på tabellen.

Edit: Nope! Bare tull og vas

Rashford-intervju med SkySports

Om Solskjær, Martial, mentalitet osv

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/11855052/manchester-united-striker-marcus-rashford-top-four-not-impossible

"It's going to be tough [to get into the top four] but it's nowhere near impossible. We don't need to focus on any other teams, we play our best football when we focus on ourselves and us improving.

"That's the only way Man Utd play good football and we need to get back to doing that. It can be very simple for us and at the same time, you don't want to make it complicated for yourself.

"The main thing is bouncing back. I always think with home games, if you're energetic on the pitch, you're making runs and you're lively, you win games more often than not.

"Old Trafford is a special place and if we do that with the fans behind us, it's a tough place to come. With the tempo we play at when we're at our best, it's very hard to stop us so we use it as a template and we need to get back to doing that.

"I just look at the games where we've done it well and the games where we haven't. You weigh them up and look at how you can be more consistent in the games you've done well in.

"There was the game against Leicester where it wasn't 90 minutes of fun but you go through the game. We won 1-0 and it does a lot for the team and you as an individual. But ideally, you want that support there and you want to be in positions to help your team-mates."

"The consistency in the performance and the consistency in the games you win are two completely different things,"

"Out of 38 league games, you're not going to play well 38 times but just because you don't play well, doesn't mean you can't win the game and that's the thing we can improve on. When we're not quite playing at our best, we can find a way to get over the line.

"If we control the moments when the opposition are on top better, I'm sure in time we will know how to control them, their fans, the tempo that they play at and once we do that, we can start to win consistently."

"When someone is speaking to you that has been there and done it, it comes to you from a different perspective and it's easier to take in the information he's giving you,"

"You understand it a little bit more and as a forward, sometimes that's all you need - it needs to be simple and clear what you need to do. If you do that 10 or 15 times in a game, you for sure get a goal or two goals.

"That's the angle Ole looks at it from and for me, I have to look at it more from that perspective."

"If you have support as a central striker, it's not bad at all," he said. "You can link with people and you can make runs that out you directly in front of the goal so it can be better at times. But sometimes when you're a loan striker and you've not got some support, it can be a tough 90 minutes.

"He [Martial] has been a big miss. As a No 9, it's always easier if you have someone you can work off and get close to and right now, we're having a good period. We've been playing good football but we can definitely score more goals and assist more and that's what we'll be looking at more as a pair.

- Shaw (trente alternativt)

- Pogba (tilbake i desember)

- Tuanzebe

- Matic

- Dalot

- Gomes (skadet i U23-kamp)

- Bailly (langtidsskadet, men tilbake på Carrington i dag og kanskje i spill over jul)

- Fosu-Mensah (langtidsskadet, tilbake over jul)

Tviler united holder nullen egentlig.

- "I expect front foot football tomorrow, there's been too many games we've gone 1-0 up only to step back. If we qualify now (til sluttspillet) we can try out a few things in the last two group games."

- "Last time we were in it (Europa League), we won it. Any trophies you can get your hands on, you can take. We’ve started really well and we want to get all the way to Gdansk. Europa League or Premier League best passage for Champions League football? It’s one route. It’s one of two. It’s November, you’re not going to talk about the league table in November. I don’t think anybody can predict that."

- "Pogba hopefully back early December. Lindelöf not fit for Partizan game. He won’t be fit for tomorrow, no. He got a knock against Chelsea and he didn’t come through the game against Bournemouth without a reaction so he will be out tomorrow."

- "Anthony is a vital player for us. He’s got different attributes to Marcus, Dan and Jesse. He can hold the ball up for us, you’ve got players making runs in behind is vital for us. When he's in a good mood, it affects other people. When he's in a bad mood..." (latter fra Solskjær og i salen).

- “Anthony’s playing as a No.9 and Marcus has been playing wide. It was a decision that we made when Anthony was away that Marcus would play through the middle.”

- "We’ve seen some young players getting a chance and doing well. Mason’s given us a winner, Brandon was fantastic in Belgrade, Jimmy (Garner) came through that game really well. We have given other players a chance to play which is important in the long run."

- "We were on half a run but it won’t happen in one instance that we turn everything around. It was a quick turnaround, we didn’t get the goal we deserved early on (mot Bournemouth). Started well, mentality was great. We’re disappointed but we go again."

- "We feel we deserve a few more results than we have got but we’re working and we’re on the right track. Of course Saturday was disappointing but we’ve got two games that we can win before the break. There’s never a shortcut in football. It’s hard work, stick together, team spirit. The work everyone does every day is pleasing for me as a manager. They want to do well, and for one reason or another, sometimes we haven’t got the results."

- "We always look at the long term with transfers, it might be none, might be one, might be two in January. It’s always the summer — you can’t really do too many big deals in January."

"No, Victor is out, so he won’t be available. Hopefully he can make the weekend but I’m not sure.” Bailly could return within the "next two to three weeks."

Young:

- "Since he (Ole) came in it was like the boss had walked back through the door. Same traits, same winning mentality, same desire, hunger."

- "We've got a great squad. I know what I see in training every day".

- "Ole is fantastic. He's been here as a player and know what this club is about. That's what the club was looking for, and you can see it in training."

- "You see the likes of Mason, Jimmy, Chong, Angel, Brandon. They’ve done well when they’ve come in. When you see youngsters that are doing well, they’ve just got to work when they get in, keep listening and keep learning."

- "The crowd (på Old Trafford) is massive, like a 12th man. It’s down to us as players to put on a performance for them to enjoy. Playing on the front foot, scoring goals, that’s what the fans want to see and hopefully that will be the case tomorrow."

- "It’s been tough this season. It’s been fine margins in some games where we’re winning 1-0, coming in after the game, drawing the game and it feels like a defeat. Things are improving and I think we’ve shown that in the last couple of weeks. We look like a much better team when we’re on the front foot."

- "Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I know what I see every day, day in day out. The boys are out there working as hard as possible to try and get results. We’re not going to let the loss to Bournemouth dampen our spirits."

- "We’ve got games coming up that we of course believe are winnable games. We need to keep putting points on the board."

- "We’ve got great competition for places throughout the squad. It’s down to the manager to pick the team. It’s not a difficult job for us we’ve got to go out there and perform."

- "Obviously when you’ve got a player like Paul, it’s disappointing when he’s injured. But the boys that have played in his position have done well. It’ll be great when he’s back but it’s good competition for places."

-
