Drivere for Microsoft-tastatur for Windows XP x64

Jeg kjøpte nylig (i dag) et tastatur fra Microsoft, da jeg regner med at det ville være fullt ut støttet i XP for (i)AMD64.

Men den gang ei!

Vanlige tastefunksjoner funker, men ingen av spesialtastene funker.

Installasjonsprogrammet på drivercd'n sa at programvaren ikke var kompatibel med 64-bit OS.

 

Var det ikke Microsoft som sa at Windows XP x86-64 var forsinket pga. at leverandører var for late til å skrive (i)AMD64-drivere for maskinvaren sin? Føyde de seg selv under samme matte?

 

Her trengs det svar... Derfor skrev jeg følgende mail til Microsoft Support:

Hello there.
I could not avoid noticing that Microsoft has said that XP for AMD64 (also
known as XP x86-64) was delayed because hardware manufacturers did not
write drivers for the OS yet.
Taking this in consideration, I find it sort of funny that Microsoft has
not yet released any drivers for their "Digital Media Pro Keyboard".

I run Windows XP x86-64 RC2, downloaded directly from you guys, and would
like my Microsoft keyboard to be fully functional with my Windows
operating system. Or do I have to change OS to Linux and write my own
drivers?

So, after having fun commenting about this,
when will you guys release drivers that will make the mentioned hardware
fully functional?

Hmm.. siden RC ikke er støttet så tror jeg ikke du får noe særlig til svar. 64 bit versjonen blir ikke lansert før månedsskiftet. Drivere kommer helt sikkert i løpet av måneden.
