efikkan Skrevet 26. mars 2011 Del Skrevet 26. mars 2011 Selv bruker jeg nå 260.19.44, etter at 260.19.06 produserte følgende interessante resultat: Ser ut som en feil i rasterizeren det der, men så gjenkjente ikke den driveren GTX 580 heller. 270.26, 270.29 og 270.30 hadde alle problemer med at Xorg fryser i noen sekunder. Prøv også å disable alle funksjonene i BIOS du ikke bruker. Feks om du ikke bruker FireWire så kan du deaktivere dette. Samme gjelder for interne skjermkort, diskkontrollere, lydkort osv. cmyrland Skrevet 31. mars 2011 Del Skrevet 31. mars 2011 Ok, nå er det like før jeg klikker i vinkel. Jeg prøver å få en tredjeparts spotifyplugin til squeezebox til å funke. Den krever at jeg har squeezeboxserver installert, og squeezeboxserver krever mysql 4.0, 5.0 eller 5.1. Jeg får installert alt, og følger instruksjonene for å installere pluginen. Jeg får opp pluginen på squeezeboxen, og jeg får koblet til kontoen min. Alt funker, tilsynelatende. Men når jeg prøver å spille musikk får jeg bare "connection timeout". Jeg fikk lokalisert problemet til mysql som ikke starter, uvisst av hvilken grunn. Etter mye rart og et forsøk på å fjerne alt som har med mysql å gjøre får jeg nå ikke lenger engang installert mysql. Jeg har purget, cleanet, tømt bensin og tent på alt som har med mysql å gjøre, men ikke f om jeg får installert mysql igjen. Derfor sitter jeg nå uten squeezeboxserver, uten spotifyplugin, bortsett fra den offisielle som ikke funker på min spiller. HNNGH! Jeg vurderer å kjøre en helt ren install igjen. Heldigvis ser det ikke ut til at mysql har sneket inn noen filer i hjemmemappa mi, så den blir ikke berørt, thank Buddha. Anyways, hva må jeg gjøre for å få mysql til å starte under boot, samtidig med, eller når kallet av squeezeboxserver? Alle guider sier bare "installer mysql", men det funket åpenbart ikke.. Øsse Skrevet 31. mars 2011 Del Skrevet 31. mars 2011 Har hørt at filsystemene som brukes i forbindelse med Linux stort sett ikke har behov for defragmentering og at det er et vanlig n00b-spørsmål å spørre etter defrag-programvare Leste også et sted om hvordan ext-filsystemene plasserer filer på disken slik at defragmentering blir sjelden nødvendig. Men, nå har jeg en 712 GB stor partisjon (ext4) som har vært helt full, bokstavlig talt, flere ganger. Så det jeg lurer på er hvordan jeg kan få sjekket om det er behov for defragmentering og hvordan man i så fall gjør det. Foreløpig har jeg funnet ut at fsck.ext4 -E fragcheck /dev/sdb1 burde funke, men fsck har så mange options at jeg ikke blir klok på det. Lenke til kommentar

Kjørte dette nå på laptopen: fsck.ext4 -n -E fragcheck /dev/mapper/vg_macpenguin-homevol for å gjøre en read-only (-n) sjekk. Siste linje av output : /dev/mapper/vg_macpenguin-homevol: 58319/2564096 files (2.7% non-contiguous), 8089973/10240000 blocks "2.7% non-contiguous" burde være nøyaktig det samme som 2.7% fragmenterte filer, hvis mine engelskkunnskaper er til å stole på. Denne linja dukker dog opp uansett om "-E fragcheck" er spesifisert eller ei. Lenke til kommentar

Det kan jo hende, men slikt skal jo egentlig være distrouavhengig.. Jeg lurer mer på om det kan være 64-bit som gjør det. Squeezeboxserver er vel kun 32-bit, men med ia32-libs skal det ikke være noe problem egentlig. Jeg har ikke prøvd med eldre distroer siden jeg allerede har oppgradert det jeg har til 11.04. Jeg liker å ligge på den blødende kanten Det som er spennende er at Ubuntu Software Center ikke godtar squeezeboxserver-pakka, sier den er "bad package", men når jeg bruker dpkg -i får jeg ingen feilmeldinger..
