Egenera and AMD Forge Strategic Alliance

Egenera Inc, a global leader in utility computing, and AMD today announced a worldwide alliance. Driven by customer demand, Egenera will deliver both two-way and four-way AMD Opteron processor-based Processing Blade configurations for the Egenera BladeFrame system in the next 30 days. In addition, AMD has joined the Egenera Accelerate alliance program as a strategic Enterprise Technology Alliances member, and the companies plan to engage in joint sales and marketing initiatives.
