IBM/Sony/Toshibas gigantprosjekt, kanskje best kjent som den kommende prosessoren i PlayStation3, nærmer seg slutten:

Produksjonen skal visst starte allerede denne måneden...PS3 kommer lanseres ikke før 2006, men med tanke på at PlayStation1 og 2 har solgt til sammen 200 mill. eks (!) må de vel starte tidlig for å få trykt opp nok chips...

 

Det er jo mye snakk om at den kan brukes i andre ting. PDA'er, mobiler og til og med desktop-PC. hva tror dere?

Tja, ifølge VG skal den kunne være opp til ti ganger raskere enn dagens CPUer. Tipper de har tatt litt i der, men det virker ganske skremmende.
