hmmm... Det er Waters som har skrevet sangen, men jeg skal ikke nekte på at det kan være Gilmour om synger. Skal sjekke dette!

Edit: Ja, det er David Gilmour som synger!

Interesting notes

The Body, was the first solo album from any of the members of the Floyd. Ron Geesin can also be heard on Atom Heart Mother, a Pink Floyd album released in 1970. The soundtrack was a Ron Geesin project (via John Peel), until Roy Battersby, the films director requested vocals on a few tracks. At the time Roger and Ron were great golfing friends, and it may well have been over the 19th hole hole Ron enlisted Roger's help. The film was an educational film by Kestral, and was based on the book 'The Body' by Anthony Smith. Two tracks of interest are Breathe, which starts with the line breathe in the air!!! and Give Birth To A Smile, which has the other three members of Pink Floyd performing on it.

Production Credits

Produced by Roger Waters and Ron Geesin. Album produced by Brian Humphries.

Roger Waters - Vocals, Bass Guitar. Ron Geesin - Various Instruments and Noises.

The track 'Give Birth to a Smile features David Gilmour - Guitar. Richard Wright - Keyboards. and Nick Mason - Drums.

Review

This album is completely crackers, using as it does the sounds of various bodily functions as its raw material. Waters recorded this album with his good mate and golfing partner, Ron Geesin, who also worked with Pink Floyd on Atom Heart Mother. The two obviously got along well and they can be heard doing their best not to burst into laughter on at least one track. Waters' style that was to come to the fore on Dark Side of the Moon can be heard developing here and for this reason alone, any diehard fan should not be without it. Not to be taken too seriously, this album is great for a Sunday morning recovering from a heavy or particularly strange Saturday night. The closing track Give Birth to a Smile is a truly lovely way to finish what has to be one of the most experimental albums ever allowed out to the wider world.
