Russian 'Deserter' Massacred Fellow Soldiers Before Going AWOL

A Russian deserter massacred fellow soldiers before fleeing, according to Telegram channels.

The military serviceman, who was stationed in Russia's Belgorod region on the border with Ukraine, shot dead two of his comrades and wounded another on July 11 before he deserted his unit with a weapon, the Baza and Shot Telegram channels reported Friday.

Russian deep-sea vehicle damaged after collision in Norwegian Sea, military intelligence says

The Russian modernized deep-sea vehicle AS-36 was damaged during tests in the Norwegian Sea, Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) reported on July 12.

According to the agency, the crew of the vehicle's carrier, the rescue ship of Russia's Northern Fleet Mikhail Rudnitsky, "lost control" while launching AS-36 on July 1. The ship's hull and the AS-36 collided, the agency said.

"As a result of the incident, the Russian deep-sea vehicle sustained damage that does not allow it to continue testing," military intelligence wrote on Telegram.

The AS-36 has reportedly been modernized at the shipyard in St. Petersburg since 2017. Russia is currently assessing the damage and time required to repair the vehicle, the agency said.

Russian officials have not reported the incident. The Kyiv Independent could not verify the claims.

Ukraine's Navy said in June that the Russian anti-submarine ship Admiral Levchenko was on fire in the Barents Sea after an engine malfunctioned and caught fire.

Around 30% of Russia's Black Sea Fleet had been destroyed by Ukrainian forces as of December 2023, according to the Ukrainian military.

Danish Prime Minister calls for giving all her country's air defense assets to Ukraine

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has called for the transfer of all her country's air defense assets to Ukraine. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Voice of America.

"We decided many months ago to give all our artillery to Ukraine. Why? Because Ukraine will use it better than Denmark. And now we have to do the same with air defense," Frederiksen said during the NATO summit in Washington.

Takk for artikkelen.

Dette var oppklarande. Det går fram at det har vore begrensningar heile tida, men Zelenskyj hevda sjølv at den nye britiske regjeringa ville løsne på desse begrensningane. Men dette viste seg å ikkje stemme. Så situasjonen er uendra, i allefall så langt.

Også britane ser med andre ord ut til å lide av "eskaleringsfrykt".

Hmm? Det må en del planlegging og forberedelse til for å kjøre en offensiv. Ukrainerne er p.d.d. ikke forberedt med mindre det skulle danne seg et uventet brudd og en plutselig mulighet hvor det bare er å kjøre gjennom.

Sommeren er allerede godt i gang, slik at sommer 2025 blir den første realistiske sjansen.

Jeg er stolt som et berg av Stoltenberg. Det står respekt av en person som kan endre mening i løpet av livet. Han har gått i fra å være anti-NATO til å være NATO-hauk.
